(Y/N) POV:

The ship glided through space at quite a lick. Hyper space wasn't as much of a sight to see as people had said. The pilot seat was empty. The cockpit was empty. In the sitting area, Aayla sat, tense.

You two were on icy terms. To no fault of your own. Shmi was preparing lunch and you sat checking your guns.Without your sword, your mid-class combat range was lacking, since you were headed into a war zone you decided on a pole axe with a spear tip on the other end. You decided that with a long-class melee weapon, you kept your sacred bracers back in their box.

The pole axe route was not your best by any means, but was fun to use none the less. In the back ground you hear Shmi sinning, that is usually a sign food is coming so you put down the disintegration rifle you'd been toying with.

You walk out to see Aayla sitting, fiddling with herself as she still wasn't fully comfortable, you decide to sit down near her and try to have a normal conversation.

"Comfortable?" You ask, not having your mask on.

"I'll be more comfortable when we are back at the temple." She said, trying to sound stoic, but failing as her voice cracked and stammered.

"I see. Well we'll have food soon, I suggest you fill up." You get up,sensing she doesn't want to talk.

"Why do you do this? what you do." she stopped you.

You turn to her while standing in the door way. "What does that mean? I do what I do because I do it, mostly, its for people who deserve it. What I get from it usually helps to." you smirk gesturing to the crates of wine and cigarettes.

She folds her arms cocking her head as if to better see the crates, "So you'll only do it to your benefit?" she asks skeptically.

"I feel there is a bigger question coming on." you sigh.

"I've heard a bit about Mandalorian culture, isn't it important to have a family? a man of your stature, why focus on violence and not family? Don't  you have someone worth leaving all this behind?" she asks, softening her features, shifting her hands to rest o her hips.

"Why is that any of your business?" you ask, getting slightly enraged.

She sighs.

"Shaak told me to at least try to talk to you and to try to be friends."

You sigh, calming yourself before gesturing her to sit, you sitting on the opposite chair, facing her. You look to her to see her face is not set in a mocking or condescending tone, but rather, one of genuine curiosity. You decide to play along for now.

"For years, I thought I had found the one.We liked many of the same things, our personalities, while clashed at times, worked for each other.Genuinely we felt safe in each others loyalty. We made each other  feel stronger, and pushed ourselves to always be better. She then fell into the delusions of an increasingly insane lunatic, and her code and mine clashed one final time." You look into the distance as you remember.

"Sounds like a one of a kind woman, who was she?"

You sigh, slightly tearing up. "B-That doesn't matter."

"Im sorry...I was just curious." she said, feeling slight shame.

"What about you?" you turn to her again, "The life of a Jedi must be lonely?"

"Ever since childhood, its been Shaak and I, against the world. " She chuckles." there was a time, Shaak and I were separated, a long time. I met another young Jedi, Blake. He and I grew a fast friendship.Shaak eventually met him and, we had been a trio since. But he disappeared three years ago." she saddened.
