"I don't know wanna move away .." y/n said tearing up and hugging her bestfriend Jo. She was moving from New York to Florida to live with her dad after her mother got sick.
"I know" he said hugging her tight n kissing her forehead. They was 15 & 16 at the time so it was gonna be hard to keep a stable relationship .
"Text me . Don't forget about me" he said rubbing her back. She heard her father hunk his horn so she pulled away and walked out of the building . "Lets do our handshake" he said making her turn around .
"LETS GO" he heard y/n dad yell. Hearing him rush y/n made Jo mad . But what could he do about it ?
For the first 3 months they always texted , checking up on each other n face timing each other daily . Until one day y/n just stop answering the phone . Jo was worried but he didn't hear anything on the news , so he just figured she forgot about him n he moved on

Y/N POV
"It feels good to be home" I sighed laying in my old bedroom floor . I moved back to my hometown after my mom got sick . She had no other children besides me so I needed to take care of her . I'm 18 now so I can do more than what I could back then, I'm just glad she's stable .
I got up and started reorganizing my room . Once I got it to my liking I decided to go outside so I can remember the streets better. "Hey ma .. im going on a walk . Call me if you need anything" I said walking into my moms room
"Okay, be safe. It's dangerous out there now" she said taking a sip of her water . I walked outside and seen 5 males sitting on my apartment door porch . They were wearing ski mask so she didn't get a good look.
"Excuse me" she whispered trying to get thru. No one noticed her tho .
"Excuse me" she spoke up a lil bit
"Oh my fault" one of the boys said scooting over so she could get through
"Wait" he said walking over to me . He stared me dead in my face , analyzing every detail about me .
"uhm" I said breaking the silence. I knew his eyes . I knew them very well but I couldn't exactly remember who .
"Nothing . Have a good day ma" he said turning around and going back to his seat . That's weird I thought to myself before continuing walking .
20 minutes later I was done walking in circles . I didn't feel like going home but I didn't have any cash on me . I knew people but I didn't know any of their numbers so I just went to the park . I was sitting on the swing when I seen a dark figure walk towards the slide . I didn't wanna risk it so I hopped off the swing before a felt a arm grab me
"Where u going?" I heard him say. It was dark so I couldn't really see him but I recognized the voice . It was the dude from earlier
"Who u ?" I said gripping my waist band . Imma girl but don't ever think im not strapped I thought . Jo taught me that . Jo? I haven't thought about him since I got here . I was snapped outta my thoughts by him shaking my shoulders
"Hellooo . Girl answer me when im talkin to u" he said snapping his fingers in my face
"My fault . Repeat ya self?"
"What's your name?" He asked me . Even tho it was dark I could tell he was looking me in my eye
"Y/N..." I trilled off . I was once snapped outta my thoughts by him hugging me
"Is it really you?" He said hugging me tighter

"Jo?" I asked hugging him back
"I missed u so much" he said pulling away from the hug
"I missed u too" I said smiling .
"But why did u go ghost on me ?"
"I didn't mean to . My dad broke my phone and i just got a new one today. I still haven't set it up" I said handing him my phone
"Lets go back to my crib. You remember Kaykay? He there right now . I know he misses u . I'll have chii put your phone together . It's gone b great" he said putting his arm around my shoulders
"Who's chii?" I asked as he handed me my phone back
"You gone love him . That's mh forreal " he said . We were walking off the playground when he stopped
"You remember?" He asked looking at me
"Remember what?" I asked

"Hell yeah. I would never forget it" I said sticking my hand out . We did are hand shake and he hugged me again.
"OH SHIT" i yelled remember my mom was at home by herself
"What time is it?" I asked . He pulled out his phone
"12:30" he said showing me his phone
"ITS PASS TIME" I yelled running to my house . It was way pass time to give my mom her medicine. 9:30 was the time she was supposed to get it , my first day back n I'm already messing up ? Shi wild. I heard his heavy footsteps behind me
