~Hailey's POV~

TW: heavy gore, blood, mature language

It was peaceful again.......until it wasn't.

Everything was quiet and calm, until the piercing pain in my stomach started up again. I stirred slightly, my eyes bouncing around my closed eyelids as my face contorted. The pain started at a pinch and then slowly turning into a burning, stabbing feeling. Which never slowed, and never dulled.

What made me stir more was a voice. It sounds far away, echoing through my ears like a cave. At first, the voice was unnameable, one that I had never heard before. But as the voice cleared, I knew who the voice belonged too. And he sounded worried.

"Hailey? Hailey, c'mon wake up." 10k spoke louder this time, his voice the clearest its ever been as his hands shook my shoulders. My eyes shot open, his face close to mine. The only thing in my vision were his dark green eyes—like the pine trees in the summer— and his lips—red and plump—looking down at me, taunting me. His hands still rested on my shoulders.

"Are you okay?" He said, worry still in his voice. I looked at him for a moment, not understanding what he meant.

"Yeahhh....OW FUCK!" I bent forward, my hands pressing on my stomach in pain. Agonizing, stabbing pain. His lips turned up in a scowl when I looked back up at him, his eyes went big for a second before turning to the others, who gathered around me. Circling me like crows. I was starting to feel like I was suffocating.

"What? What's happening?!" Cassandra yelled out at me, searching my body to find what was wrong with me. I sat up straight, against the pain that was shooting throughout my body, making a hissing noise through my gritted teeth.

I pulled up my shirt slowly, trying not to cause any more unwanted pain, although it wasn't really working. When my shirt is pulled all the way up to my chest, the group leans back and grimaces at the sight. Making me look at them with a scared and questionable look.

"Is it-shit-is it really that bad?" I ask, trying not to curse everyone out from the pain. They looked at each other for a moment, all of them, looking like they saw the aftermath of a dog fight. They looked back to me and shook their heads in sync.

"Uh no...no it's not bad. Um, Doc?" 10k looked past me and at Doc, who looked back at us from the rear view mirror. Shrugging as he turned back to the road.

"Wait..wait why are you asking Doc?!" I spoke louder, my voice cracking. I tried to look down at the wound, to see how back it actually was, but two pairs of hands pushed my head back up, which made me even more scared. They just stared at me, mittering things like 'It's not that bad'  or 'you'll be fine'. I know their lying, their faces say it all.

My teeth grit together as more pain shoot through my body, causing more groans and curses to leave my mouth, though I couldn't hear what words I actually said, every sound turning into a distant mumble as the pain got worse.

"Here, here lay down." 10k muttered, pushing lightly on my chest, letting my head rest on something soft. His jacket. 10k's jacket. It was rolled up into a ball and placed under my head. I hadn't even realized that he took it off. The pain blinding me. My eyes going blurry and everything around me goes dull. My head hit the jacket, relaxing into it as 10k spoke up fast and anxious. Which didn't really help the situation at all.

"Hey, Doc? You mind taking a look at this?" He said. My body tensed up, pain spreading around my stomach as I sat up slighty.
"Why does Doc need to look at it? You said it wasn't that b-" A hand goes to cover my mouth, stopping me from speaking, stopping me from thinking to much. He smiles down at me for a split second before turning his attention back to Doc.
