{Melody's POV}

After filling Regina in on everything, she took me down to the cave where Maleficent's ashes were.

"So, how is it possible that she is alive, if Emma killed her?" Regina asked me.

"Somebody had to resurrect her. That is the only way. So either there is another villain in town besides Maleficent, or you have a betrayer in your midst." I responded. As I was talking to Regina, I let my mind wander. I searched for Killian to see where he and Emma were. What I saw scared the shit out of me.

"Regina, we need to go now!" I yelled as I ran towards the elevator that led out of the cave. 

"What is going on? What happened?" She questioned as she ran after me. We burst into the elevator and Regina started frantically slamming buttons to get us out. 

"Maleficent is with Emma and Killian, and nothing good can come from that." I said. Regina's eyes blow wide in fear. I slip into her mind to see what she is thinking. She is mad at them about something, but she is trying to suppress it. As soon as the elevator doors open, we burst out and race out of the library. I start leading Regina to where I saw Emma and Killian and hope that I am not too late to save them.

{Killian's POV}

"Maleficent." I say. I push Emma behind me and hold my arm protectively in front of her.

"Now, Captain, is that any way to greet an old friend?" She says with a look of pure innocence. I wanted to punch her in the face.

"I am no friend of yours." I say to her with a scowl. 

"Killian, what is going on?" Emma asks.

"I know the last time we... encountered... each other, we didn't leave off the best of friends. But I was hoping you could find it in you to forgive me!" Maleficent sticks out her bottom lip and flutters her eyelashes innocently. The look then melts into a smirk.

"Killian, what the hell is going on?" Emma says again.

"Ah! Miss Swan! What a pleasure to see you again!" A scowl works its way onto Emma's face. A small smile of pride can't help but come across my face. That's my girl, I think. "If I remember correctly, the last time our paths crossed, you stabbed me in the chest with a sword! What a shame. You wounded me Miss Swan, and your pirate friend wounded me too. So now, I will wound both of you!" 

Maleficent waved her hand, and Emma crumpled to the ground.

"Have fun with her, Hook."

{Emma's POV}

Maleficent waved her hand and an immense pain filled my head. It was too much, and I slumped to the ground in pain. One normal day. Is that too much to ask for?

I feel Killian bend down next to me and wrap his arms around me

"Emma, It's gonna be ok," He says comfortingly

I look up at him through eyes filled with tears that start spilling over my cheeks. Once they start, I can't stop them. "Killian, it hurts," I weakly mumble.

"I know it hurts, Emma. I know what she does. But we need to get you back to town where Melody is. She can help you. I know it hurts, but I need you to push through it so we can get you home, ok? Let's get up." His grip on me tightens as he helps me to my feet. My legs are weak, so I lean most of my weight on him as we start making our way through the forest.

After a while, the pain starts to ease up and I feel the strength returning to me. I let Killian know. He smiles and removes his arm from around my waist. A part of me is disappointed, so I grab his hand and intertwine our fingers. He looks at our hands in shock. I smile and place a kiss on his cheek. His eyes then snap up to meet mine. I nudge him forward with my arm to remind him that we need to be moving.

"Yea... ok... lets- lets go" He stutters as a blush spreads across his face. I smile at his nervousness as we continue running through the forest. But we should've been more careful

You didn't think I was done with you yet, did you?

"Did you hear that, Killian?" I say as we slow down. He nods. We spin around in a slow circle, looking for any signs of Maleficent. Then all the sudden, voices flood into my head.

Voices of doubt.

Voices of fear.

Voices telling me I was a monster.

My vision became blurry. Time seemed to slow down. I forgot where I was and what was happening. All I could hear was the voices in my head. Then through the voices, a single voice cut through that I would recognize anywhere.

"Emma! Concentrate on me. On my voice. Tune out everything else and tune into my voice. Listen to me." His voice called out. I tried my best to ignore everything in my head and only hear Killian's voice. He kept saying encouraging things as he guided me through the forest.

Once we got out of the forest, I couldn't fight it anymore. The voices overwhelmed me, and I couldn't hear Killian's voice. I couldn't fight it. I invited it in.

Darkness.

Nothing.
