Well, its been a while...

I'm trying! I promise! The story is finally getting to where I want it to go, so hopefully I will be able to publish more chapters more often!

This chapter's song is Give Me Love by Ed Sheeran

{Emma's POV}

It had been three months since Maleficent had been seen. The town slipped into something almost peaceful. But the threat of the witch hanging over our heads never allowed it to be a truly happy environment.

But never the less, life was good, or, at least, as close to good as it could come. The conflict between Regina, Robin, and Marian had been resolved. Marian understood that a lot had happened in 30 years and that Robin was happy with Regina. And even she had to admit, her feelings for Robin hadn't exactly traveled through the time portal with her. She knew their relationship was in the past, and she accepted it. She had decided that instead of staying in Storybrooke, she wanted to go out and explore the world and make a life for herself. She left 2 weeks after Maleficent's disappearance. But Regina sent her with an enchanted bracelet that would allow her to come visit Roland and the rest of the town whenever she pleased.

Mary Margaret and David were enjoying the bliss, basking in their time with Neal. Now he was sitting up and starting to utter things that almost sounded like words. Almost. David still helped me out at the Sheriff station, but Mary Margaret decided to give up teaching for the time being and just be a stay at home mom. I was always happy to come over and help her when she needed help or just wanted company.

Melody was also adjusting to living in Storybrooke. She absolutely loved it. Most of her days were spent helping out at the sheriff station. Melody and I had become close, maybe even best friends. We had spent many late nights at the station together, talking and laughing. I confided things in her that I didn't tell many people. She would make days more interesting by telling me about her pirating days with Killian. She would talk about her wings and how amazing the feeling of walking on clouds was. I knew she missed it a lot. But she was making a life for herself in Storybrooke, and she even let me borrow her bike. Most people would be chased away if they even dared to come near it.

And as for Killian and I, well, we couldn't be happier. I was happy. He was like no other man I've ever been with. He cared for me and treated me like a princess. He had given up his whole life for me, and I was finally ready to accept that. It was hard, but he had taken down my walls brick by brick. He was there for me through all my ups and downs, and never failed to remind me when I needed it that he was a survivor and would never leave me.

It was one of the days at the station where I was alone. I was sitting at my desk, busy doing paperwork, when I heard the familiar sound of metal knocking on metal I had come to know and love. I checked the clock on my computer. 12:15. Right on time, I thought. I looked up and saw Killian smiling at me with a bag of Granny's food in his hand.

"Hello love," he said to me in a voice that never ceased to send shivers down my spine.

"Hey, Killian. Is that grilled cheese I smell?" I asked.

"Just the way you like it," he answered, walking up to me and setting it on my desk.

"French fries?"

"Onion rings."

"Good. I was testing you," I said with a beaming smile that always came up when he was around. He bent down and placed a kiss on my lips. I smiled, pulled away, and dug into my bag of food.
