{Emma's POV}

"Where are my manners? Melody Jones at your service."

My jaw dropped. Killian had a DAUGHTER? Why didn't he ever tell me? I was very confused and hurt. It must have shown on my face because when Killian looked at me, he started explaining.

"Well, she's not my biological daughter. I found her when she was a few months old." He said. I let out a breath I hadn't realized I was holding.

"I'll explain it to her," Melody said. "Hook may have been a dirty, good-for-nothing pirate, but he wasn't an infant killer. Let my start from the beginning. Once Upon A Time..."

*Flashback (227 years ago)*

"Captain?" Hook heard Smee say as he emerged from his quarters.

"What is it now, Mr. Smee?" Hook asked, impatient.

"We have found a baby aboard the ship with a note addressed to you."

Hook was dumbfounded. Why was there a baby aboard a pirate ship, and especially one meant for him?

"Bring me the babe." Hook said to Smee.

"Yes, Cap'n."

Smee went and retrieved the basket the baby and the note were in. He handed it to Hook and left. Hook looked at the baby, who peered back at him with fiery gold eyes. He took the note, which indeed had his name on it. He slowly opened the envelope and started reading the letter.

Dear Killian,

This child is named Melody. I know you may be tempted to throw her overboard, and I sure as hell hope you won't. For this child will play a major part in your destiny and your future. She is a Seer, so you must train her to use her magical abilities with care. I know this may be hard to believe, but you do not want to kill this child. I had to kidnap her from her real mother, because of her mother's plans for her. I know you can help her. Just don't kill her.

Hook looked up from the letter, to the baby, and then back to the letter. He reread it a few times. He couldn't believe it. He had not been delivered any ordinary child, but a Seer. He knew this child could not die. He wondered why this mysterious Liana had chosen him to raise this child. He also was having trouble understanding how this child would play an important part in his destiny. But he made a decision that day, that he wound not kill this child. He looked down at the child, Melody, as she looked up at him as if she were reading his mind.

*End of Flashback*

"So he raised me as a pirate and I definitely had a fearsome reputation." Melody said.

"At 10, she was already one of the most feared pirates, behind me, of course," Killian said. He wiggled his eyebrows in a way that made me smile.

"So then how are you still alive?" Henry asked.

"Neverland," Melody said. "Now, is there any good places to eat? I'm starved."

I nodded my head and lead everyone to Granny's. On the way, we geot weird looks from everyone, but Melody never noticed. She walked with a confidence that made me think she was used to people staring at her. We walked into Granny's and sat down in a booth. Ruby came up to us and asked who the new girl is.

"Melody Jones," Melody said. Ruby gave me a confused look and I said, "They are not actually related. He just raised her. It's a long story." Ruby nodded her head and took our orders. I was surprised Melody knew what to order. She must have read my mind, because she said, "I have been living in this world for four years now. I know what a hamburger is." I blushed and looked away.

"That's why you look older,"Killian said.

"Can you point me to the bathrooms? I need to freshen up." Melody said. I point her towards the back and she walked away. I asked Killian questions about her, because I felt like there was something they weren't telling Henry and I. When she came back, I realized she had changed her clothes. She had on a leather biker jacked, a white tank top, a pair of ripped up jeans, and black combat boots. Her hair is pulled to the side in a sloppy french braid and she has just enough makeup on to make her look radiant.

"How did you change that fast?" I asked her.

She gave me a Wow, you're an idiot look and said, "Magic. Duh."

When she sat down, Ruby brought out our food and complimented Melody's outfit. When Ruby left, Melody's face grew serious.

"I wish I could say I was just here for the hell of it, but I'm afraid I'm not." She said. Killian and I looked at each other worriedly and then looked back at her as she continued. "I know you have just finished with Storybrooke's most recent villain, But a new one is in town. Killian, Maleficent is back, and she is not here on a pleasure trip. She is here for revenge. On us."

So in case you were wondering, Melody looks like Olivia Wilde except, of course, with gold eyes. Just if you were wondering, that's how I imagined her.
