Dragon Trainer (Hiccup x oc)

chapter 7

"Hey, you know I just happened to notice had nothing on Night Furies or Dark Wings. Is there another book or a sequel? Maybe a extra dragon pamphlet?' Hiccup asks Gobber. Before Gobber could answer the Nader shot Hiccup. "Focus Hiccup! You're not even trying!" Gobber yells at him. As Hiccup looks up he locks eyes with the Nader. He starts running into the maze more. "Today is all about attack! Nadders are quick are light on their feet. You're job is to be quicker and lighter!"

The Nadder shoots spikes at Fishlegs. Fishlegs screams. "I'm really beginning to question your teaching methods!" Look for its blind spot! Every dragon has one. Find it, hide in it, and strike!" Gobber finishes. "Do you ever bathe?" Ruffnut asks her twin. "If you don't like it, than just get your own blind spot." Tuffnut responds. "How about I give one." Ruffnut says banging her head against her brothers. The twins turn their heads to the Nadder shot fire at them. "Blind spot, deaf spot, not so much."

Eric, Eria, Snotlout, Hiccup, and Astrid ran pat Gobber but Hiccup stopped. "How would one sneak up on a Night Fury or Dark Wing?" Hiccup ask. "No one's ever met one a lived to tell the tale. Get in there!" Gobber yells and gestures towards the maze. "I know, I know, but hypothetically..." He turned and locked eyes with Eria. "Hiccup, get down." She whispered as she leaned against a wall.

The group of 5 started to do rolls to get past the Nader but Hiccup didn't make it. He quickly got up and ran to follow the rest. The Nadder went over a wall to be met with Snotlout, Eria, and Astrid. Astrid and Eria were about to throw their axs but we shoved out of the way. "Watch out babes. I'll take care of this." Snotlout throws his bludger but misses. Eria and Astrid looked at each other then looked at Snotlout. "The sun was in my eyes, ladies. What do you want me to do, block out the sun! I could do do that but I don't have time." They ran off and continued to defend themselves.

"Has anyone ever seen one napping?" Hiccup asks he gets ran into but some of the group. "Hiccup!" Gobber yells. Hiccup looks up to see Astrid falling towards him. "Hiccup!" She yells before landing on him. Astrid's ax gets stuck in Hiccup's shield. She quickly rips the shield out Hiccup's hand and knocks the Nadder in the face and it cowarded away.

"Well done Astrid." Gobber says. "Is this some kind of joke to you. Our parents' war is about to become ours. Figure out which side you're on." Astrid says as she turns and walks away. Eria runs over and helps Hiccup to his feet. "Are you okay?" She asks checking his arms for injuries. "I'm fine." He says looking at Gobber.

Eria slowly walks along the pond bank looking for the Dark Wing. She carries a fish with her. She continues walking but stops as she feels a presence behind her. She gasps as the Dark Wing approaches. Eria drops the fish on the ground then sat down next to it.

The Dark Wing cautiously moved toward Eria and grabbed the fish but stayed close to her. "Hi." Eria said calmly. "I don't know if this is very safe but..." She trailed off as the dragon moved closer to her and purred. A smile came to Eria's face.

"You're not going to hurt me, are you." The Dark Wing tipped its' head at her. "Are you a boy?" She asks. The Dark Wing just tipped its' head again. "Well we gotta come up with a name for you. How about..." Eria thought for a second then her face lit up. "Viserion!" She exclaims. Viersion's face lights up.

He moves so he is just an inch away from Eria's face. She slowly reaches her hand out so it just rests below Viserion's chin. He slowly lays his head on her hand. She lifted her other hand to rub behind his ears. "You are an amazing creature. Why have you guys been treated like this."

She sighs as he looks over at Hiccup and the Night Fury to see them sitting next to each other as Hiccup draws in the sand. She watches as the Night Fury grabs a branch and starts to draw too. Eria looks at Viserion and gets up to walk over to them. But she stops as Hiccup back ups and is met with the Night Fury. She watches as Hiccup reaches his hands to the dragon's face. The Night Fury puts its' nose on Hiccup's hand.

Eria smiles and looks at Viserson. "Hey boy, I have to go now but I'll come see you when I can." Viserson let out a soft purr. She puts her hand under his chin a scratches a bit. "Bye boy." She says as she walks away.

"And with one twist, he took my hand and swallowed it whole! I saw the look on his face... I was delicious. He must of passed the word, because it wasn't a month before another one of them took my leg." Gobber finished his story.

Both Eria and Eric rolled their eyes because of how many times they've herd the story. "Isn't it weird to think your hand was inside a dragon? Like if your mind was still in control of it, you could have killed the dragon from inside by crushing his heart or something." fishlegs says.

"I swear, I'm so angry. I'll avenge your beautiful hand and your beautiful foot. I'll chop off the legs of every dragon I fight, with my face." Snotlout yells. "It's the wings and tail you really want. If it can't fly, it can't get away. A downed dragon is a dead dragon."

As Gobber finished Hiccup and Eria locked eyes. "All right, I'm off to bed. You should be, too. Tomorrow we get to the big boys, slowly but surely making our way to the Monstrous Nightmare. But who'll win the honor of killing it." Eric looks over to look at his sister but is met with an empty spot. He then looks over at Hiccup's spot but his is also empty. Eric sighs then starts listening to the group again.

Hiccup grabs his sketch book and draws a artificial tail on his Toothless drawing. Eria and Hiccup started to each work on a piece of the tail. As they continued to work Hiccup looked over at Eria and watched as she worked. A smile came to his face as he watched the girl he loves help him. When they finished the tail they gave each other a high five.
