Dragon Trainer (Hiccup x oc)

The village stands outside of the ring. "Well I can show my face in public again! If someone told me in a few short weeks, Hiccup would go from, well, being, uh Hiccup. To placing first in dragon training. I'd have tied him to the mast and shipped him off for fear he'd gone mad!" Stoick said as the crowd laughed and cheered.

"But here we are. No one's more surprised or proud. Today my boy becomes a viking. Today he becomes one of us!" Stoick finishes and the crowd cheers.

Eria comes up behind Hiccup and grabs his hand. "Please be careful." Eria says, putting her chin on his shoulder. "It's not the dragon I'm worried about." Hiccup says leaning into her forehead. Eria sighs sadly. "If something happens to me, promise me you'll take care of Toothless."

Eria wraps her arms around his stomach and fully hugs him. "I promise but nothing is going to happen to you. Not under my watch." Hiccup wraps his arms around her neck. "Okay." He said.

"It's time, Hiccup. Knock ''em dead." Gobber says as he gestures to the arena. The couple separated and gave each other a soft kiss.

They pulled apart and Hiccup walked into the arena. Eric walked down to his sister and wrapped his arm around her shoulders. "He'll be okay. He can do this. And if he can't we'll get in there and help him." Eria nodded and leaned into her older brother.

Hiccup walks over to the weapons and grabs a shield along with a knife. "I would have gone for the hammer." Stoick commented. Hiccup sighed and looked at the cage. "I'm ready." He said.

The cage started to open. Once it was fully opened the Monstrous Nightmare ran out of the cage. The Nightmare ran along the walls and the chains on the top of the arena.

It stopped at the top and looked at Hiccup. It leaves the top and walks towards Hiccup. Eria wraps her hand around the gate and watches. Hiccup drops his shield and knife as he puts his hands out.

"What is he doing?" Stoick asks as he moves up in his seat. "Hey it's okay. It's okay." Hiccup takes off his helmet. "I'm not one of them." Hiccup says as he throws his helmet to the ground.

The crowd gasps. "Stop the fight." Stoick says as he stands up. "No! I need you all to see this! They're not who we think they are. We don't have to kill them." Hiccup says. "I said stop the fight!" Stoick says as he slams his hammer on the metal of the arena.

The Nightmare becomes frightened and snaps at Hiccup. Hiccup quickly moves out of the way. The Nightmare shoots fire at him as he continues to run.

"Out of my way." Stoick says as he pushes through the crowd. "Hiccup!" Eria yells as her brother hands her the axe off the wall. She wedges it under the gate and pushes up. She crawls under.

Hiccup keeps running as the Nightmare continues to blow fire at him. He grabs a shield and runs with it over his head. "Hiccup!" Eria yells. She grabs a hammer and throws it at the dragon. As it hits the dragon in the face the dragon looks over at her.

It starts to chase her. Stoick opens the gate. "This way!" He yells. Both Eria and Hiccup run toward Stoick. Eria gets to him and as Hiccup is about to, the Nightmare blows fire at him.

Hiccup runs but the Nightmare pins him with his claws. 2 roars are heard. Eria looks up to see their dragons. Toothless fires and breaks a hold throw the top. "The strikers." Gobber said.

Toothless and Viserson both land on the Nightmare. Toothless grabs one of the Nightmare's horns and Viserson grabs one of its ears.

They both protect Hiccup as the Nightmare tries to get him. The crowd watches as the pair scares the Nightmare off. Eria runs to them.
