Lexi

Dipping my blood stained hands in a near by creek as the boys stood around me.

Verena. Who's Verena? What's A.L.S.O?

A million and one thoughts ran through my mind.

"You okay Lex?" Asher leaned down next to me.

"Yeah." I answered using my nails to try and scrub more of the blood off.

"You shouldn't have ran in like that." Asher began to scold me as he stood back up looking down at me. "Merlin, Lexi for once and while you got to stop and use your head. Do you realize you could have been hurt?"

"Then what would you've had be do Asher?" I retorted looking up at my tall brother. His face said it all.

"Nothing! Do nothing! Ignore it like every other person would!" Asher is now just full on yelling at me. "It's a stupid centaur for crying out loud."

"It's an attitude like that, that makes wizards and centaurs fight." I stood up as I turned water from my arms splashed on all the boys. "I will never stop fighting for those who needs it. And I'm sorry you don't understand that." Pushing past Ominis and Asher I went back the way we came.

Walking back to Hogwarts I tucked my arms into my robes making sure no one saw the blood stain.

"Lex wait up!" Sebastian called behind me. I didn't turn around. The likelihood that Asher was with him was high. "Ash isn't with me."

Stopping in my tracks and turning around seeing that it was just him. "How do you always read my mind?" I asked him. He pushed back his brown hair. He let it grow out over the summer, however it was still as wavy as ever.

"Because I know you Lexi and the last thing you want right now is to see him. Come on I'll take you back to the castle." He said throwing his arm over my shoulders and guiding me home.

As I tossed and turned in sleep again tonight. Like every night for a year. Jolting up, sweat pouring down my frame. My head threatening to explode.

I need to get out of the cold dorm room where my roommates slept. Slipping on my green bathrobe and making my way to the common room and right to the burning fireplace. Sitting on the green couch, I grabbed the blanket covering my legs.

Merlin only knows how long i sat there just staring at the fire. Thought running through my head like a cheetah hunting it's pray. All I have heard for a year is gratitude from my teachers and classmates. Everyone was impressed by the girl who saved them. But no one ever asked if i was okay. Seeing that centaur and not being able to help is what was killing me. No one knew. Non of them even asked one simple question.

Sebastian

I had it again. The nightmare of the green spell hitting my uncle straining my relationship with Anne. I miss my sister. I miss the one person who know me better than anyone else. But she doesn't want anything to do with me. I still love her tho. I will always love her. Even if she could never forgive me.

Getting out of bed i threw on a white-t. Tiptoeing past Ominis and Asher I walked out for the dorm room and made my way to the common room. However I didn't expect to see a figure sitting on the couch.

I knew it was Lexi . I always know when she was nearby.

Walking over i sat next to the girl. We sat in silence for awhile.

"Can't sleep?" I asked breaking the quiet.

"No, I'm guessing you couldn't either."

"No."

"You wanna talk about it?" She asked her green eyes looking at me. I took notice of the bags under them.

"I'll share if you do." I negotiated receiving a nod from her. "I miss Anna. Merlin, I miss her." He felt a cold hand on my shoulder. I knew it was her way of trying to comfort me without using words. "Your turn."

"I'm tired. I'm tired of reliving the worst time of my life over and over again in my head. While I walk around this castle and everyone thinks I'm just fine when I'm not. I'm not okay and I just...." She couldn't finish her thought. She was finally able to get everything out but she physically couldn't.

Moving from my spot I kneeled in front of her and wrapped her into a hug. Which she quickly and greatly reciprocated. I didn't say anything, just like she did with me. I knew all she needed right know was a hug.

"Undercroft?" I asked. Feeling the girl nod on my shoulder. Unwrapping my arms I took her hand leading her to our spot.

Third person

Even tho the four friends always hung out there. This pair felt as tho the UnderCroft was the only place the could truly breath, truly be themselves.

As they walked through the iron gate having it close behind them Sebastian spoke.

"We really need to put a bed in here."

"That's would be nice. I mean I could make one."

"You're the one who's advanced in transfigurations not me." He smiled.

"Just thank Merlin you're good a potions."

Grabbing her wand Lexi changed some of the old boxes into a queen size bed.

"Only one?" Sebastian chuckled.

"It's big enough for the two of us."

"I'm not complaining darling."

"Darling?" She asked as he walked to the right side of the bed. Taking off his shirt, he turned to her.

"Shut up and come to bed." Taking off her robe she slid into under the covers. "I will never understand how this dusty hole brings me so much peace." Sebastian laughed.

"Now that I think about it when was the last time this place was clean?" Lexi laughed.

It didn't take long for the pair to actually fall asleep. Both uninterrupted. Neither had a nightmare. Neither woke up in a state of panic. In fact they didn't wake up until they felt a dip in the bed.

"Why don't you guys just go ahead and make a flat in here if your going to sleep in here." Ominis chuckled.

"You could at least dust." Asher laughed.

"Good morning to you too buddy." Sebastian said rolling over to face away from his friends.

"Morning? Dude it 2 in the afternoon. Both of you missed your classes. I'm not mad about that. I'm mad that I wasn't invited."

"I'm not giving you the homework answers." Asher laughed.

"Boys I will conjure you a bed if it means you shut up."

"Thank you." Ominis laughed laying down on the bed Lexi had just made.

"Maybe you should make a kitchen." Sebastian said after his stomach growled. The four friends genuinely laughed for the first time in a long time.

There was always something about the UnderCroft. Something that neither of them could really understand.
