Lexi

I was walking with Poppy to the great hall for dinner friday night.

"So I've heard a rumor." Poppy started.

"I'm guessing it's about me since you started it like that." I laughed.

"Are you and Garreth going on a date tomorrow?"

"Ok so everyone is saying it's a date but here's the thing he never said the word "date". Sebastian said something about Garreth liking me for a year."

"He's one to talk." Poppy laughed.

"What are you talking about?"

"Sebastian Shallow has liked you since that fight with the troll. Honestly I'm surprised you didn't know."

"Poppy, Sebastian is just my friend."

"Yeah and Highwing is my brother's uncle. Come one Lexi, You two spent the summer together."

"I also spent it with Ominis. You suggesting we are having this weird three-way thing going on?"

"No eww, pretended I didn't say anything."

"I'll talk to you later Poppy." I waved as she walked over to the boys. Taking the spot next to Ominis and across from Sebastian. Asher is next to Sebastian staring at the Hufflepuff table. "You boy good for tonight?"

"Lexi I've already told you we'll be alright." Ominis chuckled.

"I know I just worry about you boys."

"Lex as much as I love you we all know we're better without you going in."

"What is that supposed to mean?" I laughed.

"He means you have a talent for trouble." Sebastian said with a roll in his mouth.

"Seb what did we say about talking with food in your mouth." I shook my head at my friend as he shoved down the rest of the roll.

"Lex I love you like a sister and Seb like a brother however I can only hold one back at a time. Asher is good help but I'm guessing he's a little distracted right now."

Ominis wasn't entirely wrong. Last year was proof of how far we could go together. I had the strength to pull back from the darkness about to consume me. Sebastian however, well let's just say Anna leaving was his wake up call. Anna is what pulled him out from the darkness.

"Asher stop staring at her." I said throwing a grape at him.

"Poppy again mate." Sebastian asked.

"Aww our little Ash is in love." Ominis awwed.

"They grow up so fast." I faked sniffled wiping a nonexistent tear off my cheek.

"You guys shut up." Asher scolded us as his cheeks lit red.

"Ok we'll stop, for now. Back to business. If you boys need me come get me please."

"I wouldn't want to pull you away from you're "maybe date"." Sebastian rolled his eyes.

"Seb I get it. You don't like Garreth but cool it. Please for me."

Looking at Lexi's face, Ominis' words replayed in my head. Be her friend.

"I'm sorry Lex. I hope you have fun tonight." I smiled but the words felt like fire rolling of my tongue.

Cuz i do like her. I've always liked her. Fighting the troll was the start of it. Sneaking into the restricted section made me question what I was feelings. I took the blame. I didn't sell her out. I wouldn't have done that for just anyone. I knew when she took the curse instead of me that i would never want her in any pain ever again. I knew i liked Lexi when she didn't turn him in. Instead of turning him into ministry she lent her shoulder for me to cry on. Then later she opened up her home when i couldn't be in my own. I love Lexi Porter, but I have to let her go.
