"Have your wounds opened up again?"

"Huh."

Y/n looked up from her hands with a blank look, glancing over to the fiery man seated beside her.

The group had boarded the train after their encounter with that girl at the train station, the one who was selling bento with her grandmother.

After receiving some slightly helpful intel, y/n bought a couple bento boxes from the girl and her grandmother before the lil group hopped on a train to make their way to their target.

Yuichiro, clearly upset, shrunk himself until he was small enough to fit in a little pocket y/n had sewn into her haori. There, he remained sulking.

Shiori was off doing cat things.

Whatever that was.

"My wounds?" y/n echoed before glancing down at her uniform, "Err, well, yeah. A little bit I suppose."'How did he know? It was only a little bit, hardly enough for me to start bleeding.'

Y/n paused, then turned her head to give Rengoku a suspicious look only for it to turn to surprise when he leaned closer to her.

Bro was all up in her personal space, like DAMN—

Not that she minded, but still—

"You should take better care of your injuries!" Rengoku pointed out, "Try not to overexert yourself, alright? At least until we can find someone to properly help with your injuries!"

"That won't be necessary—" y/n began but stopped herself when the door to the train car was thrown open as a man, who she guessed made sure everything on the train was in order, ran over to them.

"Y-You two? Who are you?" the man demanded, albeit in a rather nervous tone, "Why are you here?"

"We're bento vendors!" Rengoku exclaimed.

"If you don't mind me asking, what's the current status of the Mugen train?" y/n inquired, "It's out of service, isn't it?"

"Err, well... yeah." the man confirmed with a nod, "It's actually undergoing maintenance. In that shed over there."

The man pointed out the window and out into the dark where there were lights glowing in the distance.

"Is that so?" y/n murmured.

Her and Rengoku retreated to the very back of the train, the man giving the two of them a worried look.

"Well! This is our stop!" Rengoku chimed.

"Wait, what— HEY!"

The two hopped right off the back of the train without hesitation, clearing a rather large amount of distance before landing lightly and calmly making their way to the shed as if they hadn't just thrown themselves off a moving train.

Y/n wore a rather intense look under her mask, simply due to the pain she was in. She really wanted rest, but now wasn't the time...!

She decided to focus on something other than her pain, zeroing in on the train ahead of them.

"Oh wow..." she murmured, "Yuichiro, look."

The little demon peeked his head out of his sister's pocket, and his eyes rounded at the sight of the train.

"Amazing, isn't it?" y/n chuckled and her younger brother nodded eagerly before ducking back down.

She glanced at Rengoku, but there wasn't really any look of awe on his face. Almost as if he'd seen the train plenty of times before.
