Kronos Island (FINAL)

Sonic and Shadow warp to the same place. Right below Giganto.

Giganto stomps the ground, fling up rubble once more. The two hedgehogs leap up onto the rubble, hopping from rock to rock, dodging Giganto's lasers in the process. After they reach Giganto's head, Giganto suddenly wildly shakes, flinging them off. 

"You have the Emerald?" Sonic asked.

"No. We'll have to try again... something's interfering with my Chaos Control. Probably because of the emerald up top." Shadow replies, grumbling.

"Crap! How can we get there?! The titan's shaky as hell!" 

"Simple..." Shadow takes off his inhibitor rings.

"We distract it."

With the 3 emeralds, Shadow's chaos abilities are very much enhanced, as is his stamina. Sonic throws his 3 emeralds to Shadow as well.

"Got it." He takes the emeralds, his strength now being very close to Super Shadow with inhibitor rings on. "You focus on getting the emerald!" He manifests a Chaos Spear, aiming at Giganto's head, throwing it and hitting him dead on.

Giganto immediately locks onto Shadow, digging up rubble and attempting to hit Shadow with it. Shadow smirks and quick-cyloops the rocks, chaining it and kicking it back towards the hulking titan. The titan takes the rocks on as if they were marshmallows.

Shadow flies towards the titan, dealing a devastating blow that twists the titan's head sideways. "Almost there..." Sonic says, climbing the titan's head.

Shadow nods, using the emeralds' power to fuel his next attack.

"CHAOS CORRUPTION!" He shouts, attempting to use the cyber corruption inside of him to launch Chaos-fueled cyber tentacles into Giganto, impaling its body. "I can't hold it for long!" Shadow shouts to Sonic, who was almost at the emerald alter.

Sonic mustered his will to live and summons the Chaos Emerald via its positive energy.

The Chaos Emerald shakes, yet gets trapped and doesn't budge.

The titan breaks free of the tentacles, destroying them. Shadow audibly yelps. His time without the inhibitor rings is almost up.

He tries one last thing.

He flies towards the titan, extending his hand, yelling, "CHAOS BLAST!"

A blast the size of the titan's head was launched and Shadow's inhibitor rings manifests themselves back onto Shadow's wrists.

The titan gets launched back, along with Sonic, who gets flung to the other side. "Damn it, Shadow!" He shouts.

Shadow acknowledges it silently.

Shadow flies towards Giganto's head, swiping the Chaos Emerald housed while Giganto struggles to get up. He flies over to Sonic. "Aw yeah! This is happenin'!" He exclaims, as the emeralds surround them and a golden glow surrounds them.

"I'm hanging on to the other side, I won't give up 'till the end of me!"

Sonic and Shadow fly above Giganto, both having a smile on his face.

"Let's do this!" Sonic points to the titan.

"Let's." Shadow dashed towards it.

The titan attempted to swipe both golden hedgehogs away from it, being tricked multiple times by their new homing shot technique. 

"Chaos Spear!" Shadow shouts, launching a spear comparable to titan's hand.

It attempts to block it, leaving a hole in the arm's place. It rages, blasting a beam towards them. Shadow, though with little struggle, manages to push the laser back, feeling the effects of the cyber corruption accelerated by the Chaos Energy through his left arm. 

"What's wrong? Feeling tired?" Sonic asks Shadow, who shakes his head, but his expression was enough proof to Sonic. He was in pain.

Sonic uses a loop kick, barreling towards Giganto and creating a dent in its head.

Red effects surrounded Shadow's arm as he took a rest, considering reverting to base.

Sonic wrestled with the titan's remaining arm, attempting to tear that off as well.

Transition point. (Of the song, not a time skip)

Many laser turrets came out the back of its back, firing lasers to the back of itself. Shadow, who was resting behind the fight yelped and dodged the lasers, manifesting the spider-legged corruption once again. (The Chaos Corruption wasn't meant to be tentacles-)

"And when the story ends, it becomes a part of me! I'll give it what it takes, I'll find another way."

The time to rest has ran out, it seems for the corrupted hedgehog. He winced as cyber corruption slowly climbed up his arm the more he used the Chaos Corruption. It got to the point where Shadow felt extremely fatigued, despite his inhibitor rings still on. Sonic sees this, and knows he has to act quickly.

"Welcome to the mind of a different kind, we've been growing slowly."

He smirks, leaping back. "Let's end this!" Boosting towards the monstrosity, he gains so much momentum that he becomes surrounded by a flaming aura along with his golden one. "Here's Sonic!" He blurts out, piercing the titan's chest.

The titan began to explode, but the explosion condenses itself. Shadow knew what this meant. He quickly boosted towards the titan, cylooping the explosion and containing it. "We could do that?!" Sonic asks Shadow. He doesn't respond.

The contained orb of destruction shakes a bit, but stops.

"We can use this for the next titan." Shadow weakly states.

"What's wrong? Talk to me!" Sonic says, witnessing the cyber corruption reach Shadow's shoulder, then disappearing, as Shadow then blinks, seemingly confused at how his stamina came back, and how the pain just ceases to be.

"..."

"Let's just go back to Amy." Sonic states, flying towards the pink hedgehog. Shadow follows as well.

Amy stood as the two golden hedgehogs flew down to her. Still in her ghost-like form yet not wanting to discourage the two to keep continuing, she exclaims, "It's working. I feel more like myself again! Keep it up, you two!

"Seems this isn't going to be over until we slay the titans. Sorry, Rose." Shadow says genuinely.

"Did you just apologize?" Sonic asks Shadow, who responds with slapping. Even though the power of the Chaos Emeralds makes them invincible, they could still feel pain, especially from beings who control that power or have that power. "Ow!" Sonic yells, his cheeks burning from the slap. The redness quickly ceases.

"Head to the sand-scarred island to execute the next titan." Calls the voice.

They both fly off.
