Chaos Island (Part 2)

While Sonic was searching around with no indicator whatsoever, Shadow ran through Cyberspace, Sage in tow. "When I requested that I be taken with you, I did not mean for you to hold me in your arms as you blast through Cyberspace." She told Shadow, mildly annoyed. "We don't have time for this." Shadow replied, flowing through the course as if it was nothing. "Cyberspace pulls from your memories, doesn't it?" He asked, to which Sage nodded. "Affirmative."

"Well, that explains how westopolis is... this right now."

The skies were dark and crimson red as members of the black arms descended upon the city once again, just like how he'd remembered them do.

His grip on Sage became harder.

"Hold on tight, Sage." He says, as his body becomes enveloped in an orange aura. He blasts through the black arms soldiers, and found 8 different keys in different areas.

Sage opens a portal back to reality, and they exit through it.

That was basically their routine in getting keys and emeralds.

Meanwhile, the side character trio™ has been standing there, discussing the things happening now.

"What do you think about... you know, Shadow and Sonic teaming up?" Amy asked.

"Honestly, I'm just glad he isn't all brooding like he normally is." Knuckles replies.

"I heard that." Shadow walks to the three, them getting intimidated. Sage was still bundled up in his arm, waiting for him to release her. "I've got 4." Shadow releases his hold on the emeralds, causing them to spin around him slowly. 

Sonic zooms into view. "'Sup Shadz!" He casually addresses the dark hedgehog, who scoffs. "I've got 2, too!" He takes out one of the chaos emeralds, its brilliant yellow glow shining in their faces.

"We'll need the last one." Shadow says. "And I think I know where it is." He looks to Sage, who shakes her head. "I apologize, but the titan holding the emerald is being controlled." She says to Shadow, who grunts and releases her. "Stay here." He furrowed his brows, blasting off. "Hey, no fair!" Sonic shouts, boosting after the dark hedgehog.

~The End~

The End was currently floating in the middle of nowhere, stuck as a purple moon. It was controlling Knight, which responded to its commands 10 seconds late. "Damn ping..." It muttered, its surface glowing with red flashes of light.

~Sonic and Pals~

Knight suddenly appears in front of both blue and black hedgehogs, causing them to slam their noggins into the foot of the glorified desk chair. "What is this-" Shadow attempts to say before Knight pummels Shadow into the ground. Shadow, with muffled groans, charged up chaos energy in both hands, melting the knight's foot armor.

"—BLAST!!" A shockwave of red is seen as Shadow soars into the sky, with his inhibitor rings off, and the emeralds refilling his stamina constantly.

"C'mon, Shadow, get the emerald already!" Sonic urged as Shadow gets 

"There is not much time before KNIGHT recovers. It would be wise to take the emerald." Sage told Shadow, who yanked the emerald from the knight's head.

The red aura ceases as Shadow's inhibitor rings form once again. Flying straight down, he lands near Sonic, who gives up his 3 emeralds.

Knuckles and Tails fly and glide near them as they both started their transformations. The emeralds surrounded them as they were filled to the brim with positive emotions. Among all of the emotions they felt, the most prominent feeling the group felt was determination.
