Groaning, sighing, and massaging, that's the current situation inside of the room, where the eighth man is resting. The exhaustion can clearly be seen on their physical appearance, they were also sweating nonstop. Fortunately, the staffs in there entertainment are caring enough to help them recover from the pain they got in performing

Simon twisted his arms, and stretched his whole body before he changed into comfortable clothes. One of the staff handed him a mineral water as she started to wipe the sweats on Simon. While the girl is admiring the handsome creature In Front of him, Simon is busy on his phone. The girl pouted seeing how the man was so immersed in his phone. After five minutes of staring at the idol, the girl lost her patience and started to do something to get Simon's attention.

"You did a great job today, Simon" she commented. The girl's eyes didn't leave Simon's as she was waiting for the boy's reaction

"Thank you" Simon said without any emotion, while looking on his phone. The girl pouted again and was about to ask the idol, but Simon turned away from her and approached the leader of the group

"Hyung, we don't have anything to do, right?" Simon asked

"Nothing. Why?" Choi Junki responded

"I wanna make a phone call. I'll be heading in the dorm first" without looking back again, Simon went his way to their dorm. Junki was left puzzled on his seat, he then turned his gaze to Min Ji who just shrugged his shoulders as a response.

Upon reaching his dorm, Simon didn't waste any second and called the person he was texting awhile ago. After a few rings, the other line finally answered

"Simon"

"Irish"

The two went silence for 30 seconds before Irish broke it

"Mr. Kim" she said, making Simon sighed

"They really did recruited you" Simon stated while nodding

"I want to accept their offer but… You… It will be awkward" Simon chuckled after he heard the girl's voice. He then throw himself on the bed

"Why would you stress yourself because of me?" He asked while still chuckling

"Our engagement is still a secret to them, Simon" Irish sighed

"So what? We will announce it not later than a week from now, though" Simon grabbed the teddy bear beside him and started to pinch its nose.

"They said I don't have to be a trainee. I can debut right after the process is done. I think it's unfair for those who struggle to achieve their dreams… And, I'm also overthinking that, if I debut out of nowhere, then later we will announce our engagement… People might think I cheated. You know what I mean, right?" Irish whispered. Even though her voice is not so audible, Simon can clearly detect her anxiousness. They fell into silence again to give each other time to think and clear their mind. After some seconds passed by, Simon break the silence

"Listen, Irish, no matter what the others will say, as long as you're not doing anything wrong, there's nothing to be guilty about. So what if they think that because of me you got to debut, we know the truth, and that is you're talented. And who said you're shortcutting, you literally work on your talents since you were a kid. You've trained longer than any of us… So don't overthink and grab the opportunity, okay? I'll wait for you"

Simon's soothing words made Irish flustered and mustered her courage. Because of what her fiance said, she finally gained motivation and decided to go for her dreams. After they talked for more minutes, Irish bid farewell to Simon as she wanted to call the entertainment already. Simon cheered her up before they ended the call. Staring unto his phone screen, Simon smiled sweetly, thinking that they'll be working together sooner or later

"I wish all the best for you, Risha" he said before falling asleep

Flashbacks… (two years ago)

"I'm so proud of you, my son. Congrats on your debut" Simon's mother said while smiling. The young man grinned at his mother as he hugged her

"Me and my seven brothers will do our best and work hard to achieve our goals and dreams, mom" Simon said. His eyes were sparkling while imagining their future as an idols

Irish who is watching her fiance in front of her, smiling and full of dreams, she couldn't help but to feel a pang in her chest. She wants to throw up because of the emotions building up inside her. Feeling suffocated, Irish excused hersiand went to the backyard of the house. Simon noticed it and decided to follow the young lady. Upon reaching the backyard, Simon saw Irish crying under her favorite tree. She was sobbing nonstop while staring at the clouds

Simon approached the young lady carefully and handed her a handkerchief. Irish was surprised but still accepted the handkerchief to wipe her tears. Simon also looks at the sky that Irish was staring at before he sit next to her

"What's wrong? Mind telling me?" He asked

"Nothing. A wind entered my eyes" Irish responded casually

"Bad wind! Bullying a lady like that" Simon went with the flow and fell into silence for a while. After making sure that the young lady's mind has been clear, he speaks again "Do you hate it that I'm debuting as an idol? Do you feel jealous because I got to debut when in fact I wouldn't make it if only you didn't train me?" Simon asked in a careful tone

They are already aware that their parents have fixed their marriage, hence, the two of them started to build a relationship, not romantically but as partners, where they can communicate and talk to each other honestly. Irish is just 16 years old but she thinks more mature than the others. While Simon is turning 19, he always tries to understand the girl. The two of them has a great understanding to each other even though they don't have any feelings for each other

"I'm afraid" Irish spoke after Simon waited for fifteen seconds

"Afraid of what?"

"I'm… I'm afraid that I might jeopardize your goals and dreams, especially when the day comes that we will announce our engagement. I don't want to bring you and your band down, Simon. You guys are working hard, but… But" Irish wasn't able to finish her sentence as Simon pulled her into a hug. Irish cried in Simon's arm while the young man is caressing her hair, consoling her

"You are not jeopardizing anything, Risha. Don't overthink anything. Just focus on the present"

Simon got up from lying on his bed and released a sigh. He brushed his back as he checked the time on his wrist watch. It's 1:46 AM. Simon took out the engagement ring from his drawer. Staring to it, Simon thought back of the dream he had awhile ago.

It's been two years and he is still overthinking the words that Irish came out from her mouth before. He doesn't want to think that Irish is still reluctant to their relationship, especially the fact that they are just in a fixed marriage
