Yubin held onto the railings

"Why is every day a nightmare?" She said

"First, I thought school might be the only thing that brings me back to life but now it feels as dull as ever."

"That's dramatic," Someone said

"Huh?" She turns around 

"Who are you?" She asked

"I'm not telling, but do tell your story," He said

Yubin explains 

"Damn," The stranger let out 

"My mom probably won't let me in the house right now," Yubin said with hands covering her eyes

He takes her hand off her face "Well you said you have a lot of fake friends, at least someone has to be real right?"

"Tell them your situation and they'll let you in," The stranger said

"But what if they don't?" Yubin questioned

"What if? We truly don't know unless we let it out right?"

"But just because they don't let you in doesn't mean they all hate you, there are other reasons why they can't let you in their house and you have to understand that."

Ring!Ring!Ring!

Yeji wakes up from the loud ringing of her phone "Who calls at this timing?"

"Hello?" Yeji sleepily answers the call

Yeji's eyes were too much of a blur for her to see who she was calling

"Yeji..."

Yeji's eyes widen "Yeah, yeah what the heck yes come here quick!"

Yeji got off her bed, knocking on a soft toy of hers

She ran to her parent's room

Her mother opens her eyes from the bright light "Yeji, why are you awake? It's not exam season right?" She said

"No, no my friend, she's in a bad situation right now, can- can she stay here for the time being?"

"I- I'm not sure..." Aeri looks at her husband who is asleep

"She's an adult so there's no way that crazy mom of hers can sue us when her daughter willingly leaves right?? Right?" Yeji asked

"5 days okay?"

"Yes! Just think of it as a sleepover even though I'm 22."

"Yeah yeah, if she hates our usual piano moments, I'll instantly hate her, just joking," Her mother jokingly said

A knock on the door was heard.

Yubin was greeted by a yawning Yeji holding her bolster

"Hey, Yubin!" She sleepily said

"Before coming here I packed you some extra clothes to sleep and go out, some food in case you're hungry and a warm bath waiting for you cause I'm sure you need a relaxing time after what happened," Yeji said and ends it off with a sleepy smile

"Yeji how sweet of you, I'm so sorry for coming here on such short notice, I'm so thankful for you and your parents," Yubin said with both hands clasped together as a sign of gratitude 

"Ayy don't mention it."

"Are you okay though? You are sort of the root of today's news," Yubin asked

"Ehh, I am the root of so much of our campus news, it's fine but actually not fine, go go I'll tell you once you and I get our sleep."

"O-ok."

The Next Day, Morning 

Yubin wakes up to the sound of her phone ringing. It was her mother.

She stares at it until the ringing stops. She looks at her notification bar.

22 missed calls?!

Yubin goes down the stairs and sees Yeji walking out of her house. Looks behind, waving at her new guest

"Morning Yubin, sorry I have morning class but have the pancakes, dad made them before he left! Bye Mom, bye Yubin!" She waves them goodbye 

Yubin waves at her. Her eyes watched as she sees Yeji's mother signalling to come down .

She bows "Thank you so much for letting me stay here."

"Don't mention it, now go eat."

As Yeji was walking to campus she saw everyone's eyes on her. Just like her second day of university when everyone knew a new Cupid arrived.

"She kept saying secrets were between her and her clients but that mouth of hers couldn't shut up," Someone said as Yeji walked passed

She stops in front of them "Hey, how do you know? It was just my Siri doing its job."

"Why you-!" As the guy was about to hit her, Yeonjun appears, grabbing her hand.

Yeji slowly opens her eyes "Yeonjun?"

He looks from behind "Run," He said

"Huh?"

"I said," The grip around her hand tighten "Run!"

A burst of life emerged in her as they ran, her warm hand wrapped with his cold ones (he's nervous).

They stopped once they reached the end of the campus. Probably the Education Department.

She unknowingly yanks her hand off his grip 

"Thanks, Yeonjun, I don't know what I'd do without you," She said still breathing heavily 

"No probs," He said, smiling

Yeonjun was seated on a bench as he watches Yeji get them drinks.

She gives him a can of cold Sprite.

"I heard what happened with your whole exposing thing," Yeonjun said as she takes a seat opposite him

"Oh yeah," She opens her drink

"You alright? I saw you crying yesterday."

"Honestly no, but you know it's kinda my fault, I knew Siri will continue reading the passage unless I stop her, I could've said the same passage and not said anything about the crush's crush you know?"

"What are you going to do?"

"Not gonna fight back that's what," Yeji said

Yeonjun's eyes widen

"I'm getting more hate comments than I usually do, so I just plan on retiring this whole Cupid thing, I'm left with my fourth year so I might as well do it now."

"Then who will solve my love problem?" Yeji turns to look at him

"Yeji, do you have the answer to my love problem?"

"Yeonjun..."

"I know you rejected me but it was rushed and I wasn't thinking right," He said

"It's been about a month since that happened and I had some time to think about my feelings, I- I still like you Yeji."

"You know what I noticed as Cupid?" She asked

"Is that it's not me who brings couples together, it's they themselves,"
