After we jumped through the portal I passed out as if everything was a dream, but I knew that what happened was real. I was nervous thinking what kind of life I'll live. Then when I finally opened my eyes I saw a beautiful woman sweating and quite pale, she had long black hair and gold eyes. There was also another figure standing next to her, a man probably in his late 20s with black messy hair and dark red eyes like rubies.I tried moving, but my body doesn't respond the way I want it to, so I tried talking but the only words that came out was a nagging voice. Well at least I'm alive is what I thought.
Then they started talking luckily I could understand it must be one of the powers Ajin mentioned. The black haired man said " So is he the next sword king that will inherit the Duke title Mari."he said while looking at me, the black haired women holding me name was Mari so she's my mother. Mari started talk after catching her breath "I don't know I don't sense any mana nor do I sense any sword aura Solhein " she said while frowning at me.
So is this Solhein guy my father or what and what do they mean sword king, is what I thought then Solhein grabbed me from my mother and said "Your right... He really doesn't have any mana or sword aura. " he said with a confused look on his face. I didn't understand a single thing they've been saying.
Then Solhein said "I wander since his weak and his status is useless should I kill him or throw him in some Orphanage" he said this while grinning at me with an irritating smile. I couldn't do anything cause I finally realized that I was but a infant in a world full of adults.
Luckily before Solhein did anything my mother said " Solhein the choice is mine do not disobey me understand " she said with a tired but fierce look. Solhein gave me back to her and said " whatever just make up your damn mind".
My mother looked at me with a emotionless face and said " let him go to the orphanage I do not see any reason to shed blood here just because his useless". I was surprised that she would abandon me, but at least it's better than death.
Solhein then took me to the kitchen and gave me some goats milk. He said " listen you lil bastard Im not gonna put up with crying... So drink your milk and stay quiet, Ok! ". I understood that the moment I cry would be my last so I drank quietly.
By the time I finished he took me to a carriage and gave me to a old maid about in her 60s . She said " Sir I will deliver the child as ordered by my lady ". Solhein then looked at me and grinned while saying " good riddance if a second longer I would have killed the damn thing".
I could tell he wasn't joking the moment he said that I dozed of, I guess a babies stamina is damn low. I fell asleep not knowing what would happen to me by the time I would wake up.
A day later I woke up the maid in her 60s was asleep and the carriage was moving still, I don't understand where are we going so long is what I thought in my head. Until finally the carriage stopped and the couch man shouted " we've arrived hurry up I have no patience for a dumb old hag like you" . The maid Emmediatly got out of the carriage and ran to a big black building that said 'village orphanage'.
I was surprised cause the city I had seen in the carriage was replaced with a poor village near the slums. The old maid knocked and a big fat man with a middle bald spot and a thick shining mustache came out the orphanage.
He saw that the maid was carrying me and said " a new little brat huh! Where's the money for this one". The old maid took out a pouch that had something heavy in it. The orphanage man the took out 5 gold coins and said "good our orphanage will gladly take him as he said with a disgusting smirk.
The maid handed me over to him and said " good riddance now I can finally go back home... Honestly I didn't have to waste my time on a useless thing like you ". She said as she walked to the carriage.
I was then takin inside the building where I saw other kids playing. They were dirty and some looked like they were suffering from malnutrition. When I saw this sight I instantly thought that this might be where I die a second time. The orphanage man took me upstairs and said " My name is Elfonz I'm the one in control here so if your ever make trouble for me I'll rip your throat out.. Understand me".
I just keeped quiet and didn't move cause from all the graves I saw through the window in the back and thought must have been his previous victims. I wanted to cry from the situation I found myself in, but I know the moment my mouth open I'll join them six feet under.
While carrying me he walked upstairs and from what I saw this orphanage was falling apart. The floor had cracks some windows were smashed and the glass was still laying on the floor, but the worst sight was the other orphans they were all skin an bone like they've never eaten anything for years.
we finally arrived upstairs and from the way it looks it was like a prison, upstairs had bars covering the windows and the 5 doors all had 2 sets of locks. He took me to the furthest door that had a old antique look, it was a little damaged. He opened the two locks and went inside.
Inside was nothing but a crip broken dolls and a grandpa chair. Elfonz looked at me and said "Welcome to the orphanage were death is a everyday occurrence, I'll be in charge here so when you turn 6 old you'll have to hunt your own food the monster meat isn't so bad" he said with a smile on his face.
He then said " since you don't have a name I'll give you one take it as an honor you rat... now let me see.. ah your name will be 'Shin' not bad right". He said this while looking cocky.
Elfonz then put me in a krib then he left In an instant. I was finally alone and could think. I thought maybe life won't be that difficult it just a little bit bad, but I'll survive to keep my promise to him my friend Ajin. At that moment I started feeling sleepy. I passed out again for using to much energy. I must survive I won't die a second time and I will meet him again....
