CHAPTER 3: Days at the orphanage

I had woken up after hearing the morning bird sing, the morning birds here by the orphanage just so happen to be a sworm of crows. They continued to keep shouting for another 2 hours before finally stopped shouting.

I'm now officially 2 years old, I don't know how but I managed to stay alive. I've gotten used to life here at the orphanage, I get two meals a day and can sleep whole day, but like the other orphans someday I'll have to hunt.

I want to train as soon as possible, but I'm still 2 and I can barely stand let alone walk. I'm stuck till I can walk and that's when my body is more developed. It's times like these when I wish I had my buff muscular bod (his imagination) ahhh... but at least I can talk a bit that's one good thing.

So I can finally talk to the other orphans, as I thought this I remembered that not only could I not reach the door nob, but the door itself was also locked and only Elfonz had the key.

Days went on and repeated the same things, feeding me, cleaning me and changing my cloth undies whenever I dumped in it. I couldn't take it anymore and decided that tonight when Elfonz comes and check I'll snach that key from him.

It was finally night and here comes the drunk Elfonz look like he drank tonight, this works to my advantage. While spinning around and shouting a bit he took a seat on the grandpa chair. Looks like he's out like a light.

I took this opportunity and climbed out of my krib. I knew the slightest sound would wake him up so I quietly crawled over to him and aimed for his pocket, however that was the wrong one, it only had a gold coin in it.

I took the gold piece and put it in my mouth then I crawled slowly to his other pocket were a small key was a purple looking rock that resembled rock candy from my world.

I couldn't resist and took the purple rock , I put the coin in my mouth on the floor and ate the purple rock not knowing that it was a monsters mana gem.After I swallowed it I quickly grabbed the key and the gold coin.

I then threw it as hard as I could to the krib where I was sleeping in. I then crawled back up to the krib and hid the gold coin. I also put the key in a small hollow crack in the krib it fitted perfectly and the color matched the kribs.

I'm proud of myself for doing this without getting caught. As I said this Elfonz woke up still dizzy, but a little sober he stared at me and said " good this brat is asleep can't wait till you turn 6 then I can finally stop waisting cash on you and instead buy me some more booze... you're one lucky piece of crap, but your luck ends in just 4 years remember that you brat! Hahahahaha! Hahahahaha! ".

He started laughing from out of nowhere and smacked my head repeatedly, but at least he didn't notice. After a couple of minutes he stopped laughing and started turning pale his face looked like he was going to puke. He noticed this and ran as fast as he could outside.

Finally at least he left now maybe I can finally sleep in peace. As I said this a mystical light was illuminated from the gold coin I then tried to guess why it was glowing so I could sleep.

Then while I was about to do that BAM! a small metal piece burst out and pricked my finger. A small drop of blood went on the coin. It hurts... but it stopped hurting why. When I took a look at where it pricked me the bleeding spot just disappeared and the coin also stopped glowing.

From my point of view this must have been due to lack of sleep. I took the coin hid it in my blanket and went to sleep. Finally I can take a good nap without anymore bothersome distractions.

I fell into a deep sleep and had an unexpected dream where there was a giant tree and a lot of glowing lights around it. Then suddenly out of nowhere a small light came my way and a tremendous speed. I thought it was going to hit me, but it stopped just a inch away from my face.

It was a soothing gold color and was hypnotizing. Just as I was about to touch it a voice came out of nowhere and said " child of man and one with the seal of a god what brings you to the spirit world".It was a small but bold voice and it came from the ball of illuminating light.

So surprised I didn't know what to do or say. The voice then repeated itself and said " human what brings you here do you wish for something do you have a desire I the spirit of nature will here your wish".After that I snapped back and said politely "I crave nothing I wish but to see my friend wherever he is ".

The spirit then smiled and looked at me " a friend you seek but your mind is weak, I'll grant you the sight of the spirits and may you find your missing piece ". The light then came closer and kissed both my eyes, but it wasn't even painful.

The illuminating light then said " this is goodbye the contract between us has been made may we meet again in your lifes passing". as the spirit said that my body burned like it was on fire.

I woke up immediately after that, and thought of what that was I then looked for the gold coin but it was gone. I then noticed small balls of light illuminating around me. "What is this...what are these balls of light " is what I thought then I recalled a small piece of the dream I had "I'll grant you the sights of spirits" if I remember correctly.

Man why does this happen to me. I just wanted to sleep and forget about this bad day and now I got a skill I don't even know anything about, at least I got a skill maybe it's not so bad.

I thought this as I felt my body get heavy and my eye lids felt like lifting weights. I'm to tired to deal with this now. What can't be done today can be done tomorrow. As I thought this I fell asleep for the second time, this time though I had nothing but sweet dreams...
