Emma

It has been a week since I got hurt while playing with the boys, I was doing way better now. Dad let me take some days to do work at home and rest, which made a world of difference. My first day back was tomorrow, thank goodness because I was getting so bored sitting at home this last week.

Tomorrow was also a big day for the Bengals because some local kids from around Cincy were chosen to spend a day at the Bengals training camp. They will get to meet players, run some plays with them (keeping it kid friendly of course) and even eat lunch with them. This event was my first the I marketed on my own so I hope it goes well. And if football players practicing with little kids doesn't pull at your heartstrings I don't know what will.

I felt my phone buzz so I looked down at who was texting me.

Sam

Hi Emma, this is Sam. I got your number from Ja'Marr, how you feeling?

Awe that was sweet of him to be thinking of me.

Emma

Hi Sam, I feel way better now. Definitely ready to get back to work tomorrow!

Sam

I bet you are, I am glad you're feeling better. What kind of coffee do you like? I was gonna bring you one tomorrow, start your day off right! :)

Emma

You don't have to do that. I appreciate you checking in on me!

Sam

Don't make me guess please...

Emma

Fine, I like an iced vanilla chai. Thank you Sam!

Maybe Joe was right after all, I didn't know what was going through Sam's head. Not that he was a bad looking guy I just didn't know if I wanted to pursue that. He still was apart of my dads team and I just didn't know if I wanted to cross that line. A couple years ago the NFL made it okay for team members to be in a relationship, so my job wouldn't be jeopardized. It just might make things really weird at work and with dad.

I guess I will just show up and if feelings happen feelings happen and that's that. It seemed simple enough to me, I just wasn't going to go looking around for anything.

I finished my work on my laptop for the day before cooking dinner, cleaning up and showering before tomorrow. It was going to be a fun day but a long day, especially of snapping photos and making sure the correct photos were going on social media.

- Next Morning -

I walked into work kind of groggy, its not that I slept bad I just didn't quite get enough sleep. That seems to be the theme of my life her lately, no where near how tired I was while in college though.

"Hey honey, todays gonna be a big day! I will just have you on standby and asking a few players and kids questions to post with the social media photos okay?" Dad smiled at me. I could tell he was so excited right now.

"Of course." I smiled before going into my office to drop my stuff off and noticed I had a coffee on the table. I smiled and grabbed it, god bless Sam. I turned the cup in my hand noticed writing on it, I looked and it said-

Hope this makes your first morning back better! - Joe

Huh that was odd, there is no way that Joe somehow got me coffee this morning too. I grabbed the cup thankfully and walked out onto the main field. The players were still filing in getting ready for today. They all had big smiles on their faces so I knew they were going to have a lot of fun with the kids.
