" El, will you stop looking at dresses and hurry on? Papa asked us to get bread from the bakery, not wander the streets and shop. " Elouise Denton rolled her eyes at her over-serious sister, Kayleigh Denton. This was where the two girls were different. Elouise, or Ella, liked having fun. Kayleigh, or Kay, wasn't as laid-back as her little sister. Still, Ella stopped looking through the window of a dress shop, and followed her older sister.

The two girls didn't have a mother, but they had a father. Their mother, Claire, had died in childbirth with Ella, when Kayleigh was still a baby, herself. Their father, Bryan, was a reporter for The Sun. Kayleigh, too, had a love for writing, and had taken to her father's choice of career. Meanwhile, Ella could care less about the clicking noises of a typewriter, and focused on drawing.

As the girls continued to walk, a little boy ran into them. " Sorry, miss..es, " the boy apologized, seeing that there were two sisters instead of one girl. Ella smiled, " Quite alright, " she assured, before a boy with curly hair ran up to them, grabbing the boy and gently pulling him closer. " Les, " he said, worried and annoyed at the same time, " don't run off like that. My apologies, girls. " Ella blushed, suddenly realizing that this boy was cute. Kayleigh, sensing that her little sister was awestruck, spoke up.

" It's fine, " she assured, before nudging Ella subtly. " I'm Ella, by the way. " was all the blonde-haired girl could bring herself to say, and the boy nodded. " David. David Jacobs. " he held out his hand, and Ella shook it. " I'm Les! " the little boy exclaimed, seeming as if he didn't want to be forgotten. Kayleigh laughed, " Well, David, Les, I'm Kayleigh. " she introduced herself, turning to Ella, mentally telling her that it was time to say goodbye-their father would be worried.

So, they did, before continuing on to the bakery.

David Jacobs, hmm? Ella would have to remember that.
