"Aish, nothing new. Same old shit," I groaned, closing the newspaper and throwing it beside me on the wooden bench of this shabby old hospital. I looked around, and it was quiet, as it was in the middle of the night. I looked over at the receptionist, who was falling asleep. Are there even doctors here? I stood up and walked towards the door that had the sign for the emergency room and saw a couple of doctors and nurses. Suddenly, I heard my phone ping. I looked at it.

"Geez, finally. After two hours," I said and rolled my eyes. I entered the emergency room and looked around. That's when I spotted her. I sighed and walked up to her as she was cuddling her newborn, smiling. Once she spotted me, her smile immediately dropped, and my smile lifted on my face.
"Miss Bok Hye-Su," I said with the fakest cheerful voice I had. "Oh, congratulations on the new baby," I said, not bothering to look at the baby, just staring at her in the eye that was fearful and taking a seat on the chair next to the bed. Miss Bok started to look around frantically and pulled her baby close to her chest.
"Oh, come on. I'm just here to talk," I said
"P-please, I told you I don't know where he is," She said.
"Is it a boy or a girl?" I asked, looking at the baby who was peacefully sleeping. I pulled out my arms, asking for the baby. And she hesitated for a bit before giving it to me. I couldn't help but feel a tuck in my heart. I adore children
"It's a girl", Miss Bok said
"A very pretty one," I said. I examined the neck, and that's when I saw purple veins visible. I pressed my thumb against the neck, feeling the vocal cord. That's when I felt it was tilted to the side. "Tell me where he is."
"Please, I told you I don't know."
"Did you know that your child is at a high risk?" I asked, and her face turned pale white. "If you want me to save her, tell me where he is."
"Please, Please, I don't know. Tell me what's wrong with my child," She begged as she frowned deeply on the verge of crying. I sighed and gave her the baby.
"Until you tell me where he is, then I will tell you why your child will die so soon," I said and crossed my legs. She started to cry aloud as she examined her child in hysteria, causing nurses and doctors to look at us.
