"Granny" Kian called out as soon as we stepped foot into the bakery, making his presence loud and clear to the whole bakery.
Granny? Kian's grandmother? Kai's mother?
"Kian" a feminine voice called back and a woman peeked through the kitchen window. She looked like she was in her sixties, wrinkles around her eyes, with deep smile lines, and all white hair.
Oh shit I should have dressed more proper. At first Kai and Kian as usual were wearing matching outfits with a light blue hoodie and black sweatpants. However Kian didn't like the fact that I wasn't matching with him and Kai. So in order to make Kian stop throwing a tantrum Kai made me borrow his hoodie that was the same blue colour and I wore my leggings underneath.
Definitely not the outfit to go for when first meeting Kai's mother.
"Oh we have someone new here" the women said disappearing behind the kitchen wall before reappearing through the door and approaching Kai and I while Kian wandered around.
"Miss Sung, how have you been?" Kai smiled at her.
Miss Sung? Is that what he calls his mother?
"Good. Who is this young lady?" Miss Sung said smiling at me
"Doctor Jeon, just started working in the Town Hospital"
"Nice to meet you Miss Miss Sung" I smiled which she returned
"What is your speciality?" she asked
"Pathologist" I said, she tilted her head in confusion "uhhh... investigating... corpses"
"Dead bodies?" she asked with disgust on her face as her eyes opened widely.
A typical reaction
"Yes," I said, pulling a small smile on my face. I can tell she already doesn't like me. How would she react if she knew her son said he wants to be my husband not once but twice.
"Uhhh" Miss Sung said slowly then turned to Kai "A new doctor I see. It's your first time bringing a someone with you, let alone a woman"
"Haha" Kai laughed nervously and awkwardly "she is my co-worker"
Really? I turned to Kai feeling disappointed. I don't remember having to share a kiss with a coworker.
"A co worker?" Miss Sung asked raising her eyebrow "I don't think any of your co workers match outfits with you and your son"
"Haha, well you know Kian he has so many demands" Kai said
Which speaking of, where is he? I looked around and that's when I spotted Kian. I gasped at the sight
Apparently while we were speaking for a few minutes, Kian was busy collecting pastries in his arms. Not only that, he managed to sneak in the dog of Miss Sungwhich was supposed to be outside. the dog few inches taller than Kian was holding a whole piece of loaf bread in his mouth
