The couple were currently on their rooftop, lying on the mattress while staring at the beautiful moonlight.

"I already miss Woonie," Chaeyoung murmurs, pouting.

Jungkook smiles as he looks at his wife, who is missing the child who had been clinging to her earlier like a koala. Perhaps they could ask Go Eun to allow Woonie to spend some time with him and Chae.

Or perhaps this is a sign that they should have their own bundle of joy.

"Chae, remember what you said to me yesterday about having our own child?"

Chaeyoung's gaze fell on him. "Y-yeah..." she sighed. "You want a child, right?" she asked.

Jungkook smiles and nods. "I've always wanted a family, and now that I'm married, of course I want a child, but I won't force you to have one if you aren't ready."

Chaeyoung adjusts herself and leans against Jungkook's shoulders, who has spread his left arm to allow his wife to use it as a pillow. "My grandmother wants a grandchild from me; I told her about our marriage during our video call, and she's ecstatic about it." Jungkook takes her right hand and places it on his chest.

She's sure she'd feel awkward and embarrassed if this were any other man. But this is Jungkook... her husband, with whom she feels at ease having skinship.

She rubbed his chest unconsciously. "It's really hard." Jungkook chuckles.

He then grabbed her hand and pressed it against his abs. "This is harder." Chaeyoung tries to take her hand, but Jungkook grips it tightly and moves it to caress his abs. Her cheeks are now blushing pink. "You should get used to touching me, Chae." he smirks, wetting his lips with his tongue, and Chaeyoung mimics the motion. She took a big gulp. "This is all yours, babe," he seductively whispers.

It takes a lot of courage for her to look away and not be completely charmed by her husband and fall under his spell. "I know," she admitted, her gaze fixed on the night sky. She heard her husband sigh.

Then Jungkook remembered what happened yesterday in the Park's Mansion.

Maybe her wife was concerned that he would never be able to provide for their family.

"Chae..." He called her name to get her attention. "I just want you to know that I will work hard in order to provide a good life for you, okay? I will find another job to-" Jungkook paused when Chaeyoung placed her finger on his mouth.

"Shhh... You don't have to do that. I guess we really need to talk about this first; let's get to know each other better before talking about having a child."

Jungkook smiles and nods in response to his wife's suggestion. "So, what do you want to know about me?"

They both shared information about themselves, their jobs, hobbies, social circles, and even their love lives.

Jungkook is astounded by Chaeyoung's success, especially given that she is only 25 years old and has already established a very successful company.

No wonder he didn't notice an ounce of concern on her face when her parents disowned her. She's now far wealthier than them.

"I hope this isn't a sensitive subject for you, but why did your ex-girlfriend break up with you?"

Jungkook laughs bitterly. "Well, she doesn't want a fiance who doesn't have a stable job. I proposed to her, but she rejected me in front of many people."

Chaeyoung's face darkened when she heard what her husband had said. She's speechless on how someone can hurt a man as good as her husband. Good thing she didn't say yes, or else... AHHHH! The thought of Jungkook marrying another woman was a bitter pill for her to swallow.

But then another thought occurred in her mind. What if Jungkook might still be in love with his ex and that she was just a rebound, a replacement after he was dumped by the other woman. Her heart sank. "D-do you still love her?" she asks bravely, her gaze shifting away from Jungkook.

He could tell she was serious by the tone of her voice. "To be honest, I was hurt when she rejected me, but I also felt relieved. Maybe because we're not really meant to be together. Our two-year relationship was full of misunderstandings and arguments about my job-things she wanted that I couldn't give. Not that I can't afford it, but I don't want to tolerate her behavior."

Chaeyoung is relieved to hear that. That spendthrift doesn't deserve Jungkook at all. "But why did you propose to her after everything?" she wondered, frowning.

"Because I've always wanted to have a family, and if she says yes that day, I'm actually planning to give her anything she wants because I thought I couldn't live without her," he chuckles. "Am I really that stupid?"

"There's no doubt about that." They both laughed.

But her mind can't stop gearing up, her curiosity won everytime something pops on her mind. "If you guys always have arguments and misunderstandings, why did she stay with you when she could just find another man to swindle?" She is frowning, waiting impatiently for his answer.

Jungkook smirks. "You really want to know?"

"Of course! That's why I'm asking," she retorted, annoyed.

Jungkook fixed his gaze on her, and she returned his gaze. "Because of sex."

"As if she couldn't have sex with a new man." She scoffed, starting to regret why she asked about his past relationship.

"That's true, but she likes how I treat her in bed," he replied matter-of-factly, but Chaeyoung was starting to see red.

She tried to get to her feet, but Jungkook hovered on top of her. He exhales deeply.

"We should not have discussed this, don't you think?"

"Jungkook, get off me." She grits.

And he did, returning to lying next to her. "It's all in the past," he mumbles, defeated. "The proposal was the final straw for her to finally leave me for good."

Chaeyoung was feeling guilty now that she could see the sadness on Jungkook's face. "I'm sorry for bringing this up."

Jungkook rises and assists her in standing. "It doesn't matter anymore," he said as they exchanged glances. "What matters right now is us. You're my wife, Chae. We started as strangers marrying each other, but we're friends now, if not more. Do you feel the same way?" Chaeyoung nodded shyly. Of course, she feels the same way. "I like you, Chae, and I want you to know it. Not because we're married, but because as I got to know you better, I couldn't help but admire you in every aspect."

Chaeyoung was happy to hear that from someone who means a lot to her. She felt loved, and cherished, and valued. Reaching up, she slid her fingers through his locks. "I like you too, Jeon Jungkook."

Jungkook was over the moon, to say the least. He cupped her cheek in the palm of his hand, asking for her permission, "Can I kiss you, Jeon Chaeyoung?"

Chaeyoung's heart was doing a somersault. She had never been kissed by anyone. She's inexperienced when it comes to relationships.

Pushing away all thoughts, she allowed herself only to feel. So she nods, giving her husband permission to kiss her.

And for the first time, under the moonlight, their lips finally met.
