A deafening silence fell over them. Chaeyoung called Jungkook right away and asked him to come to her office. And when he arrived, she told him about what they had discovered a while ago.

Jungkook was completely baffled, unable to move, sitting next to his wife, struggling to decipher the possibility that Woonie was indeed his brother's daughter.

It's really hard to just accept it because Chaeyoung and Jungkook knew themselves that Sungjin never committed to anyone. She remembers how he told her that he had had some flings before, but never an actual relationship.

But if you ask Chaeyoung, it's good news if ever he really turns out to be the father of Woonie.

"I knew you were not yet convince Jungkook."

Jungkook cut Go Eun off. "I don't doubt you Go Eun, because I have a feeling you're telling the truth, but we need to confirm if Sungjin hyung is truly Woonie's father." He shakes his head. "But are you absolutely certain that you want my brother to be connected to Woonie's life?"

"To be honest, I'm not sure either," Go Eun sighed, "but I know Woonie would be very happy if she could have a father figure, and we could co-parent."

"Let me call Sungjin oppa; I know he'll be in Seoul today."

Jungkook and Go Eun nodded, and Chaeyoung excused herself and called Sungjin. "Hello... How are you, Sungjin oppa? Are you in Seoul already?"

"Hello Chae. Yes, I arrived at your house a few minutes ago, and it screams luxury here," he exclaimed over the phone.

Chaeyoung breathes deeply. "Sungjin oppa, can I ask you something?"

Sungjin could tell Chaeyoung was serious by the tone of her voice. "Of course, what is it?"

"Have you ever been in love?" the question caught Sungjin off guard. He hadn't expected her to ask such an unexpected question.

He paused. Have I? The truth is that he was never in love, but he recalls having a huge crush on one of his juniors during college. He has always admired the girl from a distance.

He didn't have the opportunity to confess to her until he graduated. They reconnected in a bar three years later. He recalls them spending the night talking and drinking and waking up entangled with each other.

Chaeyoung was impatiently waiting on the other end of the phone after nearly three minutes of silence. She clears her throat in order to get Sungjin's attention.

Sungjin sighed, which she could hear on the other line. "I don't think I've ever been in love before Chae, but there's one girl in college I admire the most, and after three years, we met again and ended up doing the deed. I actually tried to find her, just to know her situation or if she got pregnant after that, because we were both clearly not in the right state at the time and we didn't use any protection. Ahhh... What's the point of telling you this? But that's all there is to it."

Chaeyoung, instead of answering his question, asked him another. "What will you do, Oppa, hypothetically, if you find out you have a child with her?"

Sungjin quickly responded. "Then I want to get to know my child and support them; maybe I'll ask her to co-parent," he explained, but he was completely perplexed as to why Chaeyoung was asking such questions. She sounded as if she was on a top-secret mission.

He wanted to laugh at the sound of her voice right now, but he feels like she's really trying to find a solution to something he had no idea was all about.

Chaeyoung beams from ear to ear. That is the response she was hoping for. "Come here as soon as possible in my office; I'll send you the address. Bye," she said as she hung up the phone before Sungjin could ask why.

She returned to her office and informed the two that Sungjin would be there in a few minutes.

"Gosh, Chae... I'm not sure I can face him right now."

"Calm down, woman; everything will be fine," she winks at her best friend.

"Why do you sound so certain, huh?" Go Eun questioned.

"I just know," Chaeyoung shrugged as she approached her husband and sat on his lap. "Are you all right, Babe?"

Jungkook encircled his wife's waist with his arms. "Yeah... are you still sore?" he asks quietly into her ear.

"Not at all; I think it's just because it's my first time."

"Yeah... Unless we go rough, the next one won't make you feel sore."

"I'm not sure I'm ready for rough sex."

"Well," he says, kissing her cheek. "I prefer making love with you anyway because I don't want my baby to get hurt... just want you to feel pure pleasure."

Chaeyoung grabbed his right arm and carefully examined his tattoos. "Did I ever tell you how much I love your tattoos?"

"Just now, Babe," Jungkook replied, his chin resting on his wife's shoulder.

"Well... I always admire the artwork on your arm; it makes you more attractive."

Jungkook laughs. "I'm glad to hear that, Babe."

Go Eun was staring at the couple, who kept kissing and whispering at each other.

This couple... She shakes her head in disbelief. I never expected Chaeyoung to act this way when she has her husband with her.

Despite her best efforts to concentrate on the couple in front of her, she can't help but glance at her wristwatch. Every tick of the clock felt like a ticking time bomb to her. She's beginning to wonder if she's doing the right thing for her daughter, and a series of what-ifs struck her mind like lightning.

She was snapped out of her thoughts when Yeji walked into the office and everyone's gaze was drawn to her. Then a very familiar man also entered, following the secretary, and when they locked eyes, he noticed his slightly wide eyes, and he became speechless.

He was well-versed in her... Because she was the same woman he had a huge crush on in college.

The most popular theater actress at their university, "Kim Go Eun?"
