"...And there were more reports of people being beaten to death in lower Manhattan…is this being contained? What the hell is going on with the government? Thirty-seven years and they still let this slide!"

Finn was sitting down on a couch, running his hand through his black hair. His earbuds were plugged in, boredly listening to the podcast.

Same old, same old.

Through his window, he could see the stars dotting the night sky.

He sighed, and was caught off guard by one of his friends tapping him on his head.

"What is it?" He asked, looking up at him.

"You okay, Finn? You've been quiet for a while now."

Finn smiled. "Oh, Raph…Yeah, I'm doing pretty fine, why?"

Raphael raised an eyebrow. "Whatever you say man. Look, Russ has the game set up, you wanna play?"

Finn sighed, standing up and stretching. He took his earbuds out, "I guess it wouldn't hurt to whoop you guys."

Raphael returned his smile. "I've been practicing for a while now. Trust me, I'm beating you this time."

Finn waved around his hands, making an 'oooh' sound.

Finn looked around his house, something he frequently did. He always felt that it was a little odd that the walls were a light blue, not matching all too well with the dark brown, wooden floors and doors. Not like his father ever cared to repaint, and he would never allow Finn to do it himself.

In front of them, a door opened and a young woman stepped out, frowning.

She narrowed her green eyes at them, and brushed a lock of her blonde hair out of her face. "Would you guys hurry? I'm tired of waiting. I already know I'm kicking your asses, so hurry it up, will you?"

They both laughed.

"I'll win," Finn and Raphael said in unison, then they glared at each other.

She rolled her eyes. "Raph, I know you've practiced a lot and all, but c'mon, be real here."

Raphael frowned. "Yeah Julie, I'll beat you— matter of fact, we should do the first match!"

Raphael ran up to the door and peered inside the room, spotting Russell sitting in a chair, playing with his red scarf. His dreadlocks came down to his chin.

"You heard that, Russ?"

Russell gave a thumbs up and a smile. "Got it."

Raphael ran and jumped on the bed, nearly rolling off and slamming into the floor.

"Watch yourself buddy, don't be getting all excited just to lose," Juliet said while giggling.

Raphael grabbed his controller with vigor, and sat down. "Pick up a controller then, scaredy cat."

"I'm just barely getting in here, calm down."

Finn laughed and walked past them to sit with Russell.

The room was dark, only illuminated by the TV. Raphael selected the game they were playing, Super Triton Fighters, and the room was filled with a cyan color.

The screen flashed as the name's letters spiraled onto the screen, slamming into place with bright, yellow sparkles and an animation of the game's characters all running into the frame.

The phrase 'Super Triton Fighters!' was shouted out by an excited voice.

An animation began to play, depicting the game's main story but it was cut short by Raphael.
