The Sting of Jealousy

As Bakugou walked through the hallways near Principal Nezu's office, he noticed Tadami standing there, preparing to discuss something with the principal.

"Oh, Bakugou, right?" he greeted as he stretched out his hand, "I don't think we've ever introduced or made any small talk today."

Bakugou only glared at the hand and back at him, unmoving his hands from his pockets.

"I see," he replied, recognizing his hand back to where it belonged. "What brings you over to the principal's office? Did you get in a fight with that Midoriya kid? Blew something up at the school's property? Or by any chance: got a little freaky with my dear cousin?"

He stated nothing as he continued to talk.

"Either way, I don't deserve to be in that class. I spoke with that Monoma kid earlier today, and he's right. Class 1B deserves a better accreditation than that other hero course class. Besides, if I stay there, my fair cousin would be shrouded with the company she doesn't want."
"Then why did you come to Class 1A?"
"Why, to see my cousin. Am I not allowed to?"
"If you were in her class, you would've."
"Well, my apologies. I didn't realize I needed an invitation to see my dear cousin at my appointed time."

Before he could say any further, the door to the principal's office opened. He saw All Might in his hero form, with Vlad from Class 1B and Aizawa from Class 1A.

"Young Fujimoto, is it?" All Might spoke. "It's an honor to see a relative of young Miss Fujimoto at this prestigious school here."
"The pleasure is all mine. What an honor it is to see the number one hero in action." charmed Tadami, "My father has spoken very highly of you."
"Well, I appreciate the flattery, young man."

Scoffing at his ego rubbing, Bakugou left the office, unable to make any conversation worth his time. Just then, he turned to a corner and noticed her alone with her book. Unsure as to why, but his irritation rose to the brim.

Was it really because of jealousy? Bakugou thought carefully as he examined his thoughts. However, he couldn't think straight since she wasn't the problem. He started to feel angry that he kicked an empty can nearby towards her. She noticed it on the floor and picked it up, looking right towards the person in question. Just as she was about to talk to Bakugou, he turned away with his hands in his pockets.

"The UA sports festival is drawing near." Aizawa announced, "This means one thing: you expect to go pro, and then the path to your future will open up at this event. Don't slack off on your preparations!"
"But is it wise for us to do the festival?" Tsu asked, concerned about the incident that happened earlier.
"It is. This will show the world we will not fear one villain attack. But don't think for a moment that this sports festival will make you slack for one day! Now, you're dismissed for now."

Hearing the news of the sports festival, she was a bit hesitant about it. YN still hadn't fully mastered her quirk since her mother's quirk was one thing she couldn't control. One false move could cause problems for not her but the rest of the world.

Just as she continued to ponder on what to do at the festival, she didn't see several students from other classes staring at her from a distance.

"She's the daughter of the Fuji Duo, yet she doesn't have any powers to call her own?" one student scoffed.
"She's Monoma in a skirt, basically." another remarked.
"At least, she's too cute to be a hero." a third complimented.
"Yeah," agreed the fourth, "I wonder how she got here: probably seduced the teachers into getting here."
"Or maybe she cheated with that quirk of hers." the fifth added. "We don't know what it is and how she can be in this school, but what if we tested her powers here and now?"
"That won't be necessary," a voice spoke out from the crowd.

As the group looked to the side, it was one of the students in Class 1B, Neito Monoma. While his quirk was considered a mimic, he was a bit angry at the fact that someone else had the same type of abilities that he did.

"If we need to test her powers, she will prove it at the UA Sports Festival. Otherwise, no one here can see it in the cafeteria if she used her full powers."

Suddenly, she started to sneeze with Bakugou's quirk activated, making her seat smoke. A few students laughed as she was covered in soot from head to toe. Surprised by the activation, she ran towards the bathroom to clean up the mess.

"Oh, no, no, no!" she panicked as the power of the nitric acid continued to grow. "This isn't good."

As she wiped her hands under the water with soap on her fingertips, suddenly, it hit her. If she can recall the powers of those whom she trained these past few weeks, maybe, just maybe, she can make it through without activating her mother's quirk after all. But how and with whom? She had to ask.

After classes were done for the day, Uraraka, one of her classmates, noticed how many students were examining Class 1A's room.

"Why are you looking in our room?" she asked them, "Are you looking for someone? Or-"
"That's her right there," one whispered throughout the crowd.

Hearing their remarks, Uraraka turned to notice YN sitting there, unaware of the people around her.

"She may be cute," another whispered, "but I don't think she'll ever move forward at this rate."
"Yeah, but at least you gotta admit," a third added quietly, "she'll look cute in those hero posters."
"Let's talk to her about it."

However, precisely when they moved forward, an explosive punch shook the students outside and in surprise. Y/N glimpsed where this soft explosion came from and noticed Bakugou standing near her, glaring at the students.

"You are morons, you know that?" he remarked, walking towards the crowd outside their room, "We're here for a reason, and you guys don't like it. That's not heroic of you to think that way, huh? If you can't accept her, you don't belong here either. Now move."

Hearing Bakugou's reasonings, some left, while others examined further at the class. He glared back at Y/N as she was confused about why he stood up for her. Unfortunately, before she can ask him, Bakugou leaves the room angrily.

'Bakugou,' she thought internally, 'Thank you. Anyway, I should probably ask someone about my new power evolving, but who?'

Looking around, I noticed one of the students nearby: Izuku Midoriya.
We barely talked after last time, but maybe, just maybe, he can help.

"Midoriya?"
"Yeah?"
"Can you teach me?"
