4: the party

As work dragged on I thought of last night a lot, mostly because I haven't kissed someone since Jackson and the feeling of having a crush was like heaven. I missed the feeling of waking up and thinking of someone and going to bed thinking of them, it was a weird obsession but nother ever crazy. It was nice to know you are loved or liked by someone, it gives you a little pip in your step.

I was finishing up the last hour of work when I heard the bell of the door go off meaning a customer was coming in, it was eight o'clock at night, this is normally the time where people would come in and buy their late night snacks or drinks of the night.
"Hello" I heard someone say I walked towards the front and saw the brown eyes I was familiar with seeing, his brown was in a hat and his glasses were on.
"Hi jackson '' I said with a slight attitude, after the talk on the phone we talked one more time to return each other our belongings and that was it, we saw each other a few times mostly at parties or at graduation.
"Hi anna" the smile he had went from ear to ear.
"How can I help you?" I folded my arms and leaned on the counter.
"Well i need vape juice, and a pre roll please" he smiled i nodded and got what he needed
"That will be 17.89" i scanned both items
"Im not done dear one second" he laughed and walked towards the back of the store i heard one of the freezer doors open and he came back holding two boxes of truly's "add this to the bill please" he said placing them on the counter
"That will be 63.47" i looked over at him as he pulled out his card
"Are Your going to axels party tonight?" he asked i nodded as he handed me his card
"Nice nice" he handed me the card "i'm going to be there too, i'm bringing cassie do you have a date"
I swiped his card and grabbed a plastic bag from the shelfs next to me
"Uh yeah cole, you know russo" i smiled he nodded i can see his jaw clench. Let's just say Jackson and Cole aren't the best of friends, they had a huge fight freshman year of high school and have hated each other since. "Yeah we'll see you tonight" I smiled and handed his card and recited back. He nodded and walked out of the store.

laughed to myself and went back to stocking the shelves. I alway thought it was funny that Jackson would try to make me jealous as if it would give me any excuse to even think about going back to him or showing a hint that I am even upset about the fact that he is hanging out or doing whatever with cassie. Trust me if he said that to me a couple of years ago I would have had a screaming fit with the kid and I would have locked myself in my room for days crying or watching sad love story movies. But the thought of him and cassie now just made me laugh.
My shift finally finished. I went to the back and grabbed my bag and put my jacket in my locker. I said bye to my coworker and walked out of the store and made my way to Axels. Axel only lived two blocks from my job so I was able to go straight after work. I can tell I was getting closer to his house because the music of the party was getting louder. I turned on his block and it was practically like I was at the party already.
I walked up the stairs of the house and saw a house full of people. I shuffled through the people and made my way to the kitchen, i saw rose sitting on the counter i smiled making my way to her
"Hello" i smile she jumped off and hugged me
"Guys its okay m-my best friend is here" she slurred her words as she embraced me "i mi-missed you" she said looking up at me i laughed and hugged her back
"I miss you too ro, how much have you drank already" i asked she let go of me and shrugged
"I don't know come let's get you a drink" she smiled i shook my head
"I'll take water" i said she rolled her eyes
"Boo you Borning whore"
"I am not boring, I'm going to smoke later, I don't wanna mix," I said as she nodded and we walked back to the spot she was in. "I have to tell you something" I said as she looked at me as she made her way up the counter to sit back down.
"What is it" she asked i smiled and turn to face her
"Me ands cole kissed like full blown made out in his car last night"
Her face dropped, her eyes almost came out of her face, she kept eye contact with me. "Stop you bugging"
"Nope i was going to tell you last night when i got back but you were sleeping so i wanted to tell you today but i had to go to work" i turn back to face the people at the party
"How was it" she turn to me
"It was actually really good he's a really good kisser, my lips were like melting with his it felt like a fucking dream rose i wish i was actually kidding"
"Oh what happened after yall kissed, did you do the deed?" she moved her eyebrows up and down and I rolled my eyes.
"No we didn't do the deed we kissed for like twenty minutes then he had to go home and he drove me home i texted him this morning but he didn't answer me" i said she looked at me phone as i showed her the text
