Olivia's POV :

It was another shitty day of sophomore, it was my third week at New Jersey high I transferred here because my mother and John had a boy years ago and he was admitted to my school.

So John forced my aunt to have me transferred as he didn't want me anywhere near his son, Ishmael.

(His name now reminds me of that Harry styles clip from a One direction concert James showed me.)

So here I was, in this shit hole. As usual I was looking for a empty table in the cafeteria but there was none. Fuck ! I can't handle having
lunch with these douches..

Then my eyes caught him sitting alone on the cafeteria stairs headphones plugged in. He had a grey-ish jeans and a one direction hoodie on. I grinned and walked upto him.

He looked different from others. There was something about him that I couldn't figure out and it made all giddy inside. I sat beside him and appreciated his one direction hoodie.

He took off his headphones from one ear, looked at me upside down rolled his eyes and said, "yeah I know they disbanded big deal. And yeah I still like them. No, one direction fans aren't supposed to be girls only."

I was dumbstruck and had a conversation I knew I would remember forever.

"Umm.. I am sorry, I wasn't being sarcastic I genuinely liked it"

His eyes widened in disbelief and he took off his headphones completely as if he was ready to give me all his attention. He smiled at me.

I swear that smile was contagious.

"Hi, I am James."
"I am Olivia."
"So, Liv you knew here? "

I smirked noticing he already gave me a nickname and nodded in approval.

"Sooo you are overprotective over one direction huh ?"
"You can say that but honestly I am protective over all music artists."
"That's great. What were you listening to?"
"Oh, a song by Taylor. "
"TAYLOR AS IN TAYLOR SWIFT !"

I practically screamed and he grinned at my reaction.

"Yeah THE TAYLOR." He said emphasising it and a slight smile escaped throughout his face.

Oh my god.

He was beautiful.

His eyes were dark down with a spark of light shade. The way his eyes lit up when he smiled was surreal. His black-brown hair were messy and curly they laid on his perfect face perfectly. And his voice, it was captivating.

I noticed I was lost for a minute admiring him in my head so I embarrassingly continued the conversation.

"Which song? "
"Uhhhh, it was london boy. "

I started humming the lyrics to London boy. And he just looked at me in awe.

You know I love a London boy
I enjoy walking Camden Market in the afternoon
He likes my American smile
Like a child when our eyes meet, darling, I fancy you
Took me back to Highgate, met all of his best mates
So I guess all the rumors are true

"So Liv you love music too ? "
"Yeah I mean I like it.. I don't listen a lot. Just Taylor you know. I love her."
"You are saying you just listen to Taylor ? "
"Yeah occasionally."

He stopped eating his sandwich and gave me a look as if I had said  something unreal - something completely absurd.

I punched his shoulder lightly.

"What ?"
"What what ?"
"That look. Why you looking at me as if I committed a serious crime."
"You seriously listen to music 'occasionally' ?" He asked still in shock.
"Yeah James." I grinned at him.
"Huh" he shrugged.

"So what brings you to this shit hole. " he said moving past his disbelief in my 'music habits'.
"Well I transferred here. Its a long story."
"Oh okay."

I bid him goodbye after lunch and walked to my classes.

*

Its has been a month since I first met James. We are quite good friends now. It seems that he doesn't interact with anyone.

There are girls trying to hit on them but he just ignores everyone as if they don't even exist. That makes me feel special somehow, being the only one close to the 'mystery boy'.

We hangout daily after school and have lunch together, James became my friend on one condition.

He demanded me to listen to at least one song daily and he will be sending. I laughed at his silly demand but accepted it.

I don't know what is it between him and music, but I hope to know that with him, I hope to know him better.

I snapped back to present when the hotel receptionist asked me if I was okay. I noticed the tears running down my cheeks.

I wiped them off, nodded at her with a slight smile and went to my room.
