It's been a decade since the disappearance of Valaerie Targaryen. Jaehaerys did tell everyone about the existence of the little girl. Some protested about what happened to her, while some understood why she needed to be away. However, most felt bad for the child who only desired to save her sister. Everyone in the Seven Kingdoms prayed for the girl.
In Valyria, the child who's now at the age of 16 is still inside the underwater well. Her body has grown, but it's still curled up, and the woman in red who's staring at her smiles. The girl's body slowly heals, and she is entirely naked because her clothes have already melted away. The woman in red lowers her hand onto the side of the well to the girl's face, stroking it gently.
Valaerie's body drifts to the side, causing the woman to smile more. Valaerie is waking up after a decade. The woman in red removes her hand from the fountain and walks away.
Valaerie's eyes slowly open, revealing her beautiful electric violet eyes. She clasps onto the stone side of the well and lifts her body from the water. She gasps the moment she inhales air, feeling like the air hasn't touched her body for years—because it hasn't. She glances around and notices the weird writings on the wall.
Her mind is still foggy, and she cannot remember anything. She stands up and slowly steps outside the fountain, her body numb. Fully naked, she doesn't care because she's still confused, not even remembering who she is.
"You're awake," a woman's voice was heard from behind, causing her to turn around. A beautiful woman wearing a red dress held a white dress in her hands. The woman slowly approached her, but she stepped back, frightened. "Don't be afraid, I'm a friend," the woman assured. She handed Valaerie the dress.
Valaerie, still confused, accepted the dress, and the woman helped her put it on. "We've been waiting for your return, my dear," the Lady in Red said, causing Valaerie to frown.
"You are truly awake," another voice from the side was heard, making the two turn to her. Another woman, wearing a blue dress, approached them. "Do you remember anything?"
Valaerie stared at them, trying to remember what happened. A glimpse from the past slowly filled her head, causing her to stumble back. The two women helped her up.
"My sister... Aerea," Valaerie whispered.
The two women sighed, giving her an apologetic look. Valaerie understood that her sister was gone. She scanned her body and noticed that she had grown.
"It's been a decade, my dear. We have been waiting for your return," the woman in red said. The three of them stepped outside the room, and they showed Valaerie around. She recognized the place and stepped backward, seeing the creatures that attacked her and her sister.
"Don't be afraid; they've been waiting for your return. They'll be the ones who will protect you now," another voice was heard, making everyone turn to a man in bronze-looking clothes. He was really handsome and handed a sword to the girl, who gave him a confused look.
"This is yours; it's been constructed a thousand years before," the man said, and Valaerie hesitantly accepted the sword.
"What's going on? Who are you?" Valaerie asked, looking at all of them. She knew they carried Valyrian features.
"People who lived here in Valyria worship us. They call us the Gods and Goddesses," the woman in blue explained. "I am Tessarion, and this is Meleys and Vermithor. There are more, and everyone is waiting for you," she added.
The girl didn't comprehend anything. She knew about Old Valyria, but she didn't know about the Gods and Goddesses because Lady Beth only taught her about the Faith of the Seven.
