It would be easy to say that Steph didn't take my ignoring her too well. Well, I'm not in any way, shape, or form easy, but in this case, I'll leave it at that. After class ended for the day, she tried talking to me before I packed my backpack, hauled it over my shoulder, and walked out of class into the hallway, but I wasn't cracking my ice cold facade that easily.

The whole way home, I felt a little lighter. That will teach her. Now she knows what it feels like. WIth a little pep in my step, I bounced up the front steps of our one-story brick house and shoved the key in the lock, feeling utterly pleased with myself. Feeling a little buzz in my jean pocket, I skip into my room, and toss my bag on the floor among all my other posessions, saying I follow that meme that jokingly says "I leave my stuff out on display like in a museum" would make my room giggle in amusement. Everything I've ever owned litters the hardwood floor and every piece of furniture that I don't have to deal with on a day-to-day basis. You've got it all wrong though, I have found that it's easier to deflect people away from my room and hide stuff this way. They feel utterly defeated and won't set foot into my room. Problem solved. It's almost like having those motion sensor lasers scattered to the four points of my bedroom, just cheaper and less obvious.

I take my phone out of my pocket and flip it open. "Three Text Messages". Yeah, I bet. I toss it on my comforter and flop on the bed face down. I finally drag up enough energy to see who has decided to blow my phone up in the last twenty minutes since school ended. I'm preparing myself if it's Stephanie, because she is completely exhausting. Honestly, I don't know how I make it every day. Have you ever had a friend or known someone that just completely drains you of all energy just from talking?

Taking a deep breath I press Open and my phone opens into the inbox. Of course, Stephanie. "Hey", "What's wrong? :(", "Hello?". I snapped the phone shut and left it on the bed, going into the living room to watch TV. Hey, she can't get mad if I was in the other room..

Two Weeks Later...

After dodging Stephanie as much as possible, she finally caught me at school and asked if I'd like to hang out and talk. Now don't get me wrong, I had been making her feel bad for awhile now, and I was all up for continuing that, but then she got me with fishing. You see, fishing isn't all that great to just anyone, but I LOVE to fish, and since my older brother went away to college with his high school sweet heart, I don't have anyone to go with anymore, so any chance I get, I'm going fishing.

Driving along the countryside, I can already tell where we are going. A bridge out in the country by where one of my ex boyfriends lives. Lost in thought, I don't notice as we come to a halt on the side of the road by a bridge... Holy shit what is he doing here?
