I'd really like to hear from anyone. Just to see how this is going. It's my first story :) Enjoy

I woke up feeling strangely rested. Stretching, it dawned on me -the party is tonight. Smiling I sat up looking around for Stephanie. She and I didn't fall asleep until early in the morning because we were so amped up about the little get together Ben was having; we stayed up all night talking about it. Steph seems to think it's going to be way better than any party we've ever been to, but I'm not convinced. What could possibly make TONIGHT so special?
You see, usually, we all get together at Ben's HUGE hunting lease. A hunting lease is just a big field where you're allowed to hunt and stuff. You drive out about 200 yards over hills and you get into this bottom and there's a pond. One of the guys builds a fire so we don't run into each other and sonone of us freeze todeath, which helps tons.We usually all park down here during the winter to party, because you can't see the flames from the road and no one driving by is going to see what's going on; you'll always see if someone's coming before they see you. Typically, we all stand around and drink until last man (or girl!) standing. I know it doesn't sound all that entertaining, but what are you going to do in a small town that plays the same movies weeks on end when you don't have gas money? After everyone leaves, the few of us that actually sleep out there sit in a circle around the fire and we play Never Have I Ever. I always win this game, because I'm the most innocent one of the group. Shocker, I now. A friend of ours, Blaine, always sticks around after everyone leaves the party to play, so it drags the game out a little longer. Blaine is a usual in our group of friends. He's home schooled like Ben, but he knows a bunch of us so he comes out with Steph and I. He's a fixture at most of the nights at the Parking Lot and comes to all our parties. Needless to say, he's basically another one of our group.
Now, getting back to my point, parties that I attend are very uniform. We do the exact same thing every weekend. LITERALLY. So this is why I don't understand how tonight is going to be any different. I mean how far can you actually stray away from that?
"Ready to get around and get some breakfast, chickie?" Steph has already begun repulling her hair into her bun and changed her clothes.
"Yeah, I'm ready for some chicken!"
I got up and grabbed my clothes for the day, slipping on a pair of jeans, a fitted t-shirt. Then, I pulled on my boots. Steph was already ready, so I was trying to hurry. I guess that's a perk about not having to put a whole lot into your appearance. I look into the mirror and stare at my disheveled appearance. I always manage to wake up with gnarly bed head! I begin brushing my hair trying to smooth it out, then I realize the longer I stand here, the more pumped I'm starting to get about tonight! It's insane, because I'm never like this.
After I finally tame the beast that is my hair, I walk back into Steph's room with her no where to be found.
Great.
Steph's house runs very long. There's a huge room in between the hallway of the bedrooms and her kitchen. I think it might've been a dining room at some point, but in the years Steph's dad has turned it into alternate storage for all of their hunting gear. Try walking past THAT the first time you walk into someone's house and not get creeped out! I finally find her in her front room watching an old rerun of "How I Met Your Mother". Steph is always watching the weirdest shows. HIMYM is actually really funny sometimes though, so I don't mind having to sit through it.
"There you are!"
"You're finally ready?!"
"Steph, you act like I took forever.."
"Fifteen minutes IS forever when you're keeping me from food! You're lucky I love you or we'd be boxin'."
"Steph, you crack me up." This girl is crazy haha.
A few hours later...
I'm so ready for this. This better be as good as everyone has been making it up to be.
After watching TV for a few hours, Steph finally texted Ben, and he wants us to drive back home to meet up. Driving down the highway windows down andsunroof wide open goinga mile a minute, we bump I'm Just A Kid, our song. Thrusting our fists out into the passing wind, we scream the lyrics at the top of our lungs. "I'm just a kiddddd and life is a nightmaarrreeeee!!! I'm just a kidddd, I know that it's not faiirrrrr. Nobody cares cuz I'm alone, and the world is HAVING MORE FUN THAN ME... tonightttttt!!!" We may not be Hayley Williams, but damnit, we're gonna give it our all! As the music starts fading out, Steph begins talking about tonight again. I'm mostly halfway listening because we've talked about the same thing for the last twenty four hours, and it's all the same conversation. Steph's really hoping this Senior guy she likes will show up. This guy is Steph's latest conquest she's hoping to claim. She's always trying to attain the unattainable. Guys that don't ever date, guys that just sleep around, virgins, jerks -you name it, she's tried to bag it. This latest guy is one of the cutest guys in school, he doesn't date, he talks to a bunch of different girls, he's a virgin, and he's a jerk. Needless to say, this is the big times.
"Tara, what do you think?" Damn. What could she be asking me?
"It'll be fun, Steph. Don't worry." She looks at me sheepishly. Crap, I hope that was the right answer.
"Yeah, you're totally right. What am I worrying about!"
Yesssssss. *inner jumping and cheering
