HI! I wanted to share my thesis statement about things that need to be changed in my school. Bear with me!!!

Ok here is the Thesis Statement:
I wanted to talk to you about how the dress code should be abolished and/or greatly adjusted. The dress code is unjust for girls or people assigned female at birth. It doesn't fit every person's body and is very prejudiced towards different body types.
As it states Under federal laws protecting against discrimination in education including Title IX, Title VI, and the U.S. Constitution's equal protection guarantee, public schools cannot enforce a dress code based on gender-based stereotypes about appropriate dress and/or appearance. All around the U.S, dress code sexualizes and objectifies girls, allowing adults to police girls bodies. Some ideas to fix the dress code might be to take away the finger rule and let everyone wear tank tops. One rule can't fit every person.
I took a survey of 30 people in this school, asking "Is the dress code fair or not?" 21 out of 30 said it isn't. Although others may not agree with me saying that' people would start wearing outrageous things', I believe otherwise. People have enough respect for themselves, and they know and can control their bodies.
These are my reasons why the dress code should be abolished and/or greatly adjusted. Thank you very much for taking the time to read my letter.
