The world around you is hectic as you power walk into the polluted, crowded school building filled with like-minded teens like yourself with only one objective: just trying to get away from the pouring rain. You shudder as your rain jacket is soaked from holding it over your head to avoid your perfect slick back that took what felt like centuries to get laid to your liking. The thought of it getting wet irked your nerves roll your eyes to yourself; you just couldn't afford it right now.

You let out a little sniffle, feeling shivers from the outside cold getting to you and this freezing building wasn't really accommodating to your needs at this present moment. You exhale through your mouth and see the cold specs of air leave you, as you shudder from the chilly sensations that entered your body, teeth almost chattering at the feeling. Early November and this weather was hitting you like a truck.

You quickly take your wire earphones out of your blazer pocket, plugging them back into your ears to soothe you for just a bit before school properly starts, and to escape the chatter around you for a while as silence was really all you craved.

Suddenly the sound of the constant chatter and noise of people catching up with their friends after the halloween break went into a distant blur, your ears finally at peace from all the commotion of people who don't seem to know what peace and quiet is in the morning. The ass crack daylight at that. As you enter the building, The smell of deep cleaning over the break filled your nostrils, you take it in and blink, finally wrapping your head around the fact that you're in school, you're here.

Your mind was spewing with many things you had put on your mental checklist that you ended up shoving to the back of your mind for later, the later time being now. A time like this. Keeping on top of your extracurriculars while also managing time for studying and preparing for exams.

You begin to walk quicker, letting out a huff as you're pushed around in the crowded halls, squeezing past people while murmuring silent 'sorrys' and 'excuse me's' that most likely went unheard, but you still said it anyways, rushing through people to finally get to your locker.

The floor was branded with muddy and wet footprints of all the hundred and-something students who went to this school made a squelching sound as your feet pattered against the once polished floors which had came to a slippery and brown mess in just a matter of hours, minutes almost.

You make way by squeezing into tight spaces and walking through circles of peoples friend groups, you make it to your locker, putting in your combination and then opening it with a swift movement.

Your math and english books stare at you and you look back at them, shoving them in your bag as they're your first few classes of the day.

You rummage through the assorted space to find the books for your final class, looking through the disorganised space. Private school but you still have these tiny lockers? you thought to yourself as you take your arm deeper, looking through the disoriented area thoroughly when all of a sudden you feel a tap on your shoulder, flinching abruptly as you turn whilst taking out your earphones. Your gaze captures the familliar girl in front of you, your best friend.
