You were a lifeguard for your local water park, mainly working full time over the summer while you were attending college. You were currently in your 2nd year of college, being 19 years old. You still lived with your parents, as to save money from being even more in debt if you were to live on campus, especially since you only lived a few minutes away.

The summer sun was blazing down, but luckily you were in the front desk handing out wristbands and passes to guests. You soaked in the cold breeze from the small fan next to you as you happily greeted each guest that came up to you.

As you were handing out wristbands and signing people up for summer seasonal passes, you were greeted by the next guests, which was a family of seven, as who seemed like the mother, came up to you.

"Hi, can we get seven wristbands please?" The mother asked, as you gave her a wide smile and nodded.

"Of course!" You responded, as you pulled out seven wristbands from your drawer and set them on the counter.

"Okay, so that'll be... Fifty six, ninety four." You informed the mother as she pull out her credit card and began to pay using the small transaction device on the desk.

While she was paying, her eyes glanced over at the 'Swimming Lessons' sign on the window next to you.

"Oh, Jenna! They're offering swimming lessons, maybe you should sign up." The mother informed, as you looked behind and saw a brunette haired girl slowly becoming embarrassed.

"That's for like, toddlers, Mom... Please, stop..." She groaned out, as her siblings chuckled and smirked at the embarrassed girl.

"...Is there an age limit for swimming lessons here?" The mother turned towards you as you shook your head.

"No, we offer swimming lessons for all ages." You gave her a gentle smile as she nodded, turning around and facing the flustered girl.

"I'm not signing up, Mom... Forget about it. It's already embarrassing enough..." The brunette haired girl trailed off, as you handed the mother the wristbands.

"Thank you, hope you guys have fun!" You waved the family off, as they all made their way through the gate and to the water park.

It was now about an hour later, and unfortunately for you, your coworker, Emma, had kicked you out of the front desk so she could bask in the cool room, making you sit out in the blazing heat on lifeguard duty.

You sat on the tower, as you were were now shirtless and watching people swim in the deep end pool.

"Well, at least this umbrella is kinda keeping me out the sun..." You thought to yourself as your eyes stayed affixed onto the guests laughing and swimming.

After some time, you glanced over at the diving board, with a line of people who were wanting to dive off into the 12 foot deep pool.

Nothing seemed wrong at first, until you saw a specific brunette haired girl from earlier, who had been nagged by her mother to take swimming lessons.

You leaned the side of your face against your palm as you watched the brunette haired girl anxiously waiting for her turn on the diving board.

The girl had looked to be no older than you, as she had her brunette hair tied up in a bun, and was wearing a black two piece bikini, standing awkwardly as she waited her turn.
