You were laying on the couch, watching Netflix, as you were eating a bag of chips. You let out a soft chuckle before feeling your phone vibrate in your pocket. You reached in and slipped it out, seeing that Jenna was calling you. You swiped to answer it, and put your phone up to your ear as you spoke.

"Hello?"

"H-Hey, um... Are you... Busy right now?" Jenna greeted you through the other line, however just from her voice, you could tell that something was wrong.

"No, not really, just chilling on the couch. Why? Is something wrong?" You asked, as you began to sit up on the couch, and pausing the show that you were watching.

"Yeah, um... C-Can you come over and help me again..? I-I'm sorry, I don't want to be a burden or anything..."

"Yeah, of course. You're not a burden, Jenna. I'm on my way." You calmly spoke, as you got up from the couch, and grabbed for your keys.

"...I'm sorry."

"Don't apologize. I'll be there in like two minutes, okay?" You comforted her as you hung up promptly, beginning to exit your apartment and make your way to Jenna's house.

Luckily, Jenna really only lived a few minutes away from your house, so it was easy to travel back and forth with ease. You hopped in your car and began to make your way to her house.

You and Jenna had been friends for almost two years now. You had originally met her at a grocery store, where she had forgotten her wallet while paying, and you offered to pay for her items. Luckily, it was only a few things, so it wasn't that much.

Jenna insisted on paying you back, after you had rejected her money, she decided to repay you by going out for a drink at a coffee shop that was nearby.

After talking and getting to know each other, you both had became good friends.

Jenna had always prioritized her work, and took her job as an actress very intently. It was very often that she wouldn't respond to your messages for hours, but you didn't mind it. You understood her priorities, and didn't want to do anything to get in the way of that.

You were a construction worker, you did manual labor, but got paid good money for it. At first, the job was absolutely grueling, you didn't think you were gonna be able to adapt to the chaotic work environment.

However, you made a few friends there, and they helped you push through. You also occasionally went out for drinks with them after work, and getting to know more of them better. It began to feel like a second family for you than just coworkers.

Now, you had grown used to the job, even earning a generous raise for working overtime and always on the job.

Jenna was always strong minded, she never really let her feelings get the best of her throughout the two years that you had known her.

Although, these past few months, Jenna had became overwhelmed by her recent eminence in acting, specifically her most recent works, Wednesday and Scream 6.

From going on several interviews, and getting booked on multiple new shows and films, Jenna had began to grow more and more overworked, and exhausted throughout these past months.
