Avery Moore was a 16 year old schoolboy who felt like life wasn't worth living anymore. Ever since his boyfriend Jasper left him lonely the year before, leaving him in a state of perpetual hopelessness. Now you're probably wondering... what actually happened? Well, it all started when Avery was being bullied pretty badly in school. People hated him but with no good reason at all. They only treated him like that because he was different. Just because he actually had a good soul that had been used to it's breaking point. He felt like there was no hope left, that he was unlovable and forever would stay that way. These kids around him were treating him like shit and so he didn't really know much different.

This was until he met Jasper White.. Jasper was like his saving grace. Everything he thought he could only ever imagine and more. They started off as best friends and Avery joined his friend group and everything. Life was starting to feel... normal? Or the closest situation to normal that he'd ever felt anyway. They just got on so well. He felt like he could talk to Jasper about anything and wouldn't be judged like he always had by everyone else. There was actually a healthy level of trust. So they got together soon enough. It was really good, until it wasn't...

It started off very happy and trusting. They would go off after school to various places and just talk for hours. The main thing was that they always had the best time, no matter what. It was the only stable thing the both of them had in their lives. Turned out they were pretty similar. But they definitely still had their differences, that sometimes were difficult to understand but they got over it pretty easily. They came from different homes and backgrounds. Different upbringings and it was always an interesting debate to have.

Jasper came from an unstable home and he had 2 younger siblings to protect from all the abuse. His parents were divorced but his mum struggled on her own so she started to abuse substances instead. Whereas, Avery had childhood trauma to live with for the rest of his life and just an overall dysfunctional family. But he was more "well off" physically. With all the money and physical needs met.

In the end, they started arguing a lot. Things were getting worse for the both of them. Jasper was jealous of everything Avery owned and the fact he still had love, even if it was only through the money spent on him. Avery just couldn't get through to Jasper no matter how hard he tried. He'd started to abuse drugs just like his mum but in secret. He had given into the pain of life. It was the end.

One day, after a good few months of ups and downs, Avery just gave up on him. He broke up with Jasper. He never thought he'd say those words so soon. And all Jasper had to say was "okay sorry" Did he not give a fuck or something? But he just left it. They hadn't spoken in days and every time they did it was just another reason to argue. It still felt like a stab to the heart though. Like nothing had hurt him before. But he just got on with it like he always had... because what more can you do? Right?
