I sigh in an agitated matter as I glance down at the child in front of me.
Mission Number One: Obtain a Child.
Status: Completed
How am I supposed to find a wife in four days? Not only that, but how am I supposed to get her to Eden College? According to my close friend Franky, I have to get a wife for the interview.
Unlocking the front door, I allow the small girl, Anya inside.
"TV!" She says clearly fascinated.
"Sit and watch some TV. I'll be back in a bit."
"Ooh where are we going papa?" Anya hugs my leg.
"You won't be going with me. Especially after the little scene you pulled earlier." I say.
Sighing I recall earlier's event.
"P-Please don't return me! I'm a good bargain! Honest!" Anya loudly cries.
"My what a horrible father.." A woman gossiped.
"Poor thing."
Gulping I felt sweat going down my face. "R-Returning you?! Hey if y-you stop crying I'll buy you peanuts!" I offer.
Her big eyes light up. "Peanuts!"
Leaving the apartment I hear the door open.
"I said no.." I say.
Let's just say the next forty five minutes were what seemed like an endless hide and seek game. To prevent her from opening the door I had to barricade it.
"Never thought I'd see you be late." Franky says clearly amused.
"Children are not easy." I state, agitated. "It's so annoying how they have to cry over anything they want so they can get their way."
