Y/N'S POV

Loid insisted we go out shortly after I told him how much of a failure I felt.

He even tried figuring out if the dog was trained to see if we could take him with us. To our luck he was.

We sat outside at a nearby cafe, waiting for our food. My heart pounded as we continued sitting during the comfortable silence. I couldn't help but argue with my conscience.

'You'd be dumb to tell him such a thing. Get ready to kiss this fake marriage goodbye!' My negative thoughts echoed.

'Do it! There's nothing to lose! Loid really cares so much about you! I'm sure he feels the same way! If you're lucky you can get married to him for real this time!' My positive thoughts urged.

Feeling my face melt, I face Loid who's patting the dog's back. The dog laid on the ground watching other people walk by.

Clenching my fists, I decide against it. There's no way I'm going to tell him! I've enjoyed being part of this family. Even if it is pretend!

Just then, our waiter hands us our food. "Enjoy!"

"Thank you." Loid smiles.

We give thanks for our food and begin to eat. "Oh wow I've never tasted such delicious f/f!" I smile.

"Really?" Loid chuckles.

Blushing I face him wide eyed. "I mean it's not as good as yours but it's a close second!" I ramble.

Loid laughs. "Hey I'm kidding. Relax."

Giggling, I cut another piece of my breakfast. "Would you like to taste it?"

Warmth rises to my cheeks as I see Loid leaning in, a small blush on his face as he allows me to feed him. He swallows the food and his eyes widen.

"That's pretty good. I'm going to have to step up my game or you'll be buying your f/f from here every morning."

I laugh. "I could never turn down cooking from my husband!" Slapping my hands on my mouth I face Loid who's blush darkens a little. "I mean-!"

Loid chuckles. "Good to know I have a loyal wife." He says before taking a drink from his coffee.

LOID'S POV

Taking a sip from my coffee, I couldn't help but feel warm inside. I've been with countless women in the past because of my previous missions, but this feels different.. Normally I don't care about how things end once I fulfill my missions, but for once...

    I can't stop thinking about what will happen

                  once I complete this mission..

One thing's for sure. I want to ensure her safety...

Looking up at her, she has a warm smile on her face, looking at a butterfly that had landed on her shoulder.

My eyes widen at the sight. Has Y/N always been this beautiful..?

Wait what?

What am I thinking?!

"Loid? Are you ok?" Y/N softly asks.

Placing a hand on my cheek, I look away to hide the blush forming on my face. "Yeah I'm fine. It's rather warm out don't you think..?"

"It is, and we're sitting under an umbrella!" She laughs.

Chuckling softly, I couldn't help but face her again as she finished up with her food.
