Y/N'S POV

It had been a while since Alex, Eren and Anya left Loid and I alone.

He would always lead me to any booth I'd look at, even if it was just a glance! Right now we stood in front of a funnel cake stand.

As we continued in line, I couldn't help but notice how quiet Loid was. Blushing, I try to tune out the sound of my pounding heart and face him. Only to see him deep in thought.

"L-Loid, is everything ok?" I ask.

He smiles, "Oh yeah everything's fine. Hm? Are you alright? You're face is pretty red.."

My face warms even more. "O-Oh yes!" I squeak. "It's just that.. This is the first time you and I have been alone.. Just the two of us.." I say looking away and rubbing my arm.

My eyes widen upon realizing what I had just said. Y/N SERIOUSLY GET YOURSELF TOGETHER! What if Loid catches on that I've actually developed feelings for him?!

Hesitantly facing him, and his face turns into one of shock.

Desperately I try coming up with an excuse. "W-What I mean to say is-!"

My eyes widen upon Loid bowing in front of me. "I seriously didn't know Y/N I am so sorry.." He began.

I felt my heart break. Of course he found out and rejected me! He's probably going to end our fake marriage and-!

"I'm so sorry I make you feel uncomfortable. Please tell me what I did to make you feel this way."

A part of me felt relieved that he didn't catch on to what I was saying. Even so, now he thinks he's making me uncomfortable! All because I can't act normal in front of him!

"A-Ah no! It's not that at all I swear! I really do enjoy your company Loid!" I say, waving my hands in front of myself.

He faces me in confusion.

"Let's just enjoy the night shall we?" I clasp my hands together. "There's a lot of cool stuff around here!"

LOID'S POV

After eating our funnel cakes we decided to head towards the Ferris wheel. A part of me doesn't really believe Y/N though.. Maybe she doesn't want to admit she's uncomfortable around me to prevent things from being awkward.

But if I were to tell her that, it would only make things between us awkward. I've made so much progress on Operation Strix to let it go to waste. Deciding it's better to drop the subject, Y/N and I take a seat and wait for the Ferris wheel to move.

"I've never been on one of these before!" Y/N smiles in excitement.

"Me neither. I hear people say that it's a nice view from the top." I say.

Just then Y/N looks down at her feet and blushes from her seat in front of me.

"Are you ok?" I ask.

"Haha yeah! It's just.. I'm afraid of heights.." She blushes. "I really do want to see the view from the top, but-."

Patting the seat next to me I smile. "You can sit next to me if you'd like."

She looks up at me nervously. A few moments pass and she stands. Sitting next to me, she tucks a strand of hair behind her. Glancing at her, I see she's slightly shaking.

Placing a hand on top of hers, she faces me wide eyed.

"Don't worry. It'll be ok.. I won't let anything happen to you." I smile softly.

Y/N's face turns a little pink in response. Just then the Ferris wheel starts to move. She scoots closer to me hugging my arm and hides her face. Looking down at her I couldn't help but smile softly. Glancing at the view, we stop at the very top.
