Kiara's POV

I turned over to put my arm around Rafe and felt as my arm fell to the bed. The sheets were cool against my skin. He's been gone awhile. I thought to myself. I turned back over and pulled the covers off of me. I pulled myself into a sitting position on the side of the bed. I got myself ready for the day. I needed to go help JJ with some stuff. I pulled my hair back and brushed my teeth. I winced in pain. A drop of blood fell into the sink. I looked up into the mirror. Memories of the night before flooded back into my mind as I saw my reflection. A split lip. Right. I grabbed for some tissue to wipe my lip. Rafe and you had gotten into an argument the night before. You didn't really remember what the fight was about. You probably said something to upset him. It was your fault. You knew he was mad at his dad and you just kept on badgering him. You took one last look in the mirror and sighed. You finished getting ready and headed to JJ's.

Once you got to JJ's you could see him working on the boat. He was wearing one of his cutoffs. Full of grease. Hair all crazy and wild. He looked up and smiled. You waved. "Hey, how's it going?" you asked him. "Great I think I almost got it working" he said. He looks at you and his smile fades. "Kie, what the hell!" He reaches for your face and you pull away. "I'm gonna fucking kill him" he grits through his teeth. "No, JJ don't it was my fault." I pleaded with him. "How is that your fault?" He asks walking away and throwing his wrench to the ground. "Kie, when are you going to see he is no good for you?" "This has to sto-" "No! JJ you have to stop!" I yelled at him. "It was my fault. I kept nagging him." I said trying to convince him.

JJ's POV

I sat there trying to listen to her reason with me once again about why Rafe had put his hands on her. It was so hard hearing her blame herself. How could she think that there was any excuse good enough for him to leave marks on her? "JJ? Are you even listening to me?" she asked me ripping me from thoughts. "Kie, don't you understand you are worth so much more than that?" I asked her. She just looked at me not knowing what to say. "I love him JJ..." she tells me trailing off. I saw the tears welling up in her eyes. "I know, I know you do." I told her. Wrapping her in a hug. "I cant understand it, but i get it" "You don't deserve this though." I told her. " I better go, he is going to wonder where I am." She told me pulling away from me. I felt the blood boil under my skin. I hated hearing her talk that way. He was no good for her. He was a rich kook asshole. He didn't deserve her. "Just be careful" I pleaded with her. She nodded and walked away. I watched her until she disappeared out of view. I really didn't understand what she saw in him. I turned around sighed and kept working on the boat.

Rafe's POV

"Where the hell was she? She was supposed to be here an hr ago!" I screamed "Dude, chill!" Barry told me. "She's probably with that dirty pouge. I felt disgusted at the thought. "She's here" Barry told me getting up to leave. "See ya later" he says getting on his dirt bike. I ignore him and just watch her. " Hi, I'm sorry im late." she tells me. Who does she think she is? I can smell him on her. Dirty slut.

Kiara's POV

"Where the hell were you?" Rafe asks me. "You, were with him weren't you?" He accuses me. I stop walking. I'm right in front of him. Oh no! "Who? JJ? Ya I-" I'm cut off by him grabbing my arm. He throws me up against the wall. "Rafe please!" I plead with him. My efforts are no good. I see that familiar cold dead stare in his eyes again. Fear fills my body and I'm frozen. Suddenly I feel his hands around my throat squeezing. I manage to say his name, but that doesn't matter. I start to feel faint. I'm sorry I wasn't strong enough JJ. That was the last thought that went through my head before everything went black.
