When you woke up, you almost immediately got up and walked out of your bedroom. Walking down the stairs to the kitchen to make yourself some breakfast.When you were done eating, you were reminded of the letter you were writing to your parents. You quickly dropped the bowl init the sink and ran off to the basement, almost tripping on your own foot. When you looked at the half-written letter. You read it;
'Dear parents,
I know it may sound selfish but could we possibly meet again? The only difference is...you guys stay for a bit more, and don't only come around for a quick hello. Although I did enjoy the unexpected visit, I just would've loved to spend time with you two. Write back as soon as you can.
Love, Y/N.'
It seemed fine to you, so you got an envelope stuffed in a drawer. Once you sealed it, you put in into your mailbox so the mailman could grab it when he delivered your mail.
—
THE NEXT DAYWhen you woke up, you heard a knock on your door, you clutched a hand on your off-white robe and opened the door. It was the mailman.
"Good morning, I just wanted to make sure that you were going to mail this." He explained. "Oh Ja! I wanted to mail that, thanks for checking in." You smiled, waving them off, the mailman nodded and walked off.
You shut the door and just kind of stood there. Part of you was wondering what your parents would think of the letter and the other part was just zoning out?
—
A FEW DAYS LATER (again.)It was unusually quiet when you woke up. You peeled out of your window and saw people walking around as normal. "Huh," you mumbled to yourself as you got dressed and walked out to go to the tailor shop.
The bell jingled as you walked in, Mr. Steiner was obviously already there, at the front. "Hallo Y/N!" He greeted. "Hallo!" You replied, beaming.
You walked over to the back and look at the note at the back, it read;
'A client came in wanting a suit with a navy blue tie. I put the making of it into your hands.
-Alex Steiner'
Another big project, you are excited and instantly roamed around to find the colored fabrics you would need. In the back of your mind you were thinking of what you'd need;
'I obviously will need black and navy blue. But I'll also want white, black on black with a darker shade of a color would be to obscene!' You thought.
Customers came in and out but you ignored them all, you needed to focus on the creation this suit. You eventually stood up to see how it looked so far. You also needed to stretch a bit from just sitting down on a stool.
Alex called from the front, "How's it going so far?" You could hear him walking up to you with his hands on his hips. "I think it's good so far. What do you think?" You asked, turning to him. He examined it for a bit. "Hm. I think it's great so far, Y/N. Keep it up." He smiled at you whilst putting a hand on your shoulder.
You looked at the time, 2:45, you still had a while until your shift was over and you could go over to the Hubermann's.
—
"Y/N, you can go now!" Alex pointed out. You jolted up as you realized you were slowly falling asleep. You made sure you didn't make a mistake while you were falling asleep, luckily you didn't."Ok!" You cried back to him as you carefully packed the suit away for tomorrow. You picked up your coat from the coat hanger by the door and said goodbye.
Running down the street, you almost slipped numerous times but finally made it home. You saw Liesel sitting outside and reading. "Hallo Liesel!" You waved, she looked over and smiled at you. "What're you reading?" You asked, she held up the book. The Shoulder Shrug. That was the name. It wasn't familiar to you but why did it care if it was or wasn't familiar?
"How's Max?" You asked, it had been awhile since you last visited. "Why do you wanna know?" Liesel teased and once she saw your expression change, she started laughing. "I'm joking, but he's been alright. Personally, I'd say he probably wants to see you." Liesel looked you dead in the eyes which caught you severely off guard.
"Oh. Why don't we go visit him then?" You suggest, and Liesel nodded. "I needed an excuse to put this book down anyway." She muttered and you chuckled, opening the door for her. She walked in and opened the basement door and started walking down the steps. Not even hesitating to not hold the door open for you.
"Hey Max!" You cheered as you walked around the corner to find him huddled up and usual. "Oh! I didn't expect you to come today." He said, smiling. "Ah, well, I might be super busy this week. I have a big project I have to do!" Liesel perked up, obviously intrigued. "What big project?" She asked, cocking a brow. "Oh well I'm just supposed to make a black suit with a navy blue tie. It no big deal though." You blew air out of your mouth and fanned a hand to motion that you had it under control.
"Sounds boring." Liesel said, you turned your head. "Who knows, maybe you'll work there when you're older." You smirked and poked her side, she laughed. Max chuckled a bit as well while watching your interaction.
You guys eventually started to tell stories and laugh with each other. Ever now and then, you'd make eye contact with Max, making your cheeks flare to a light pink.
