Vera moved her hips at the beat of stacy's mom ringing through her ears. She had been cooking for the past hour and she was nailing every second of it. Per her request Vision found her a really old sokovian cook book and she was successfully following the steps to make a typical sokovian dessert. Pietro had been oddly distant lately and she thought maybe something was going on with him, she tried approaching him a few times during the week but the man always found a way to get rid of her, she thought maybe a kind gesture could help him feel better just like he helped her after Tony's rescue mission.

Not many people took the time to interact with her. Most of the team were busy trying to get a hold of hydra's whereabouts, while she wasn't cleared for field missions just yet, that's why she was forced to stay at the compound and look pretty. She was looking forward to the white haired boy's company, the only friends she had were either busy busting their asses off in missions or artificial intelligences with no sense of humor, but everything was being so difficult with the man lately.

At the feeling of a pair of hands on her waist she jumped dropping a bowl of flour over the counter, she quickly took her headphones off and turned to see the person interrupting her cooking session.

"You are a really good dancer, malishka," Natasha whispered placing her chin on top of the girl's shoulder. Vera relaxed under her and sighed.

"you almost gave me a heart attack," Vera said fully turning to meet the redhead, "is there a reason you're home and not out with the big boys?"

Natasha laughed at her sarcasm, "I got stuck with paperwork," she gently caressed her cheek, "not that I'm complaining," she slurred flirting, pressing a soft kiss over the girl's chin, definitely not talking about the paperwork anymore.

"Tasha," Vera sighed, the older girl was a flirt, there was no point on denying that, but she wasn't up for messy, at least not right now, "there's still people here."

"let them watch," she smirked pressing soft wet kisses over her exposed neck, causing the younger girl to let out a shaky breath closing her eyes.

"I really would rather you don't," A male voice stated firmly from behind them.

The girls quickly pulled away and the sight of Pietro awkwardly standing in the frame of the door was revealed. Vera smiled widely walking towards the man. "Hey, stranger"

Pietro cleared his throat taking a step back from the woman approaching him, ignoring the Stark girl he made his way over to the fridge to grab a small water bottle. Natasha and Vera shared a confused look, the younger girl had learned not to insist, but the redhead, on the other side, that wasn't really her style.

"She said hi, Pietro," She said jokingly and without looking he responded.

"Right."

"Hey, uh-" Vera said grabbing the book she was working with, "I wanted it to be a surprise but I found this sokovian recipes and I wanted to know your opinion," she said carefully offering the man the book with an open page.
