Sitting in the waiting room of the clinic, Izuku was bored to all hell, his mom had made an appointment with a quirk doctor a couple of days ago.
Looking around not a lot had changed over the years since he was last here, he noticed that the old flickering light of the vending machine that he used to stare at while waiting still wasn't repaired.
'I hate this place.'
Izuku had come here at least a handful of times, they would come here for monthly checkups to see if his quirk had activated, but almost every time it ended in a negative outcome.
As he waited, his mind began to wonder, making a plan for the future, he knew he would need to train his quirk and his body.
He decided where he would be training, Takoba Municipal Beach, he and his mom would go there all the time before it was overrun with trash a while back.
"Izuku Midoriya."
He snapped out of his daze when he heard the calling of his name, getting up, he followed the nurse toward the examination room.
...
As the doctor walked in, she saw the green-haired teen waiting for her, she could see what looked like worry on his face, and she understood why too.
Her quirk allowed her to see auras of others' quirks, most quirk doctors had a similar quirk like this, her's let her see auras, each having a different but similar feeling depending on what type of quirk it would be, but even then it still didn't identify what the quirk was exactly, especially when it was a kid that usually couldn't control their quirk, so a few years ago a new machine was made to help identify quirks through the use of the user's blood.
His case was always a weird one in the eyes of the doctors, there were always signs of him having a quirk, within the first couple of visits they were able to chalk his quirk up to something related to pyrokinesis.
But on the last recorded visits, Izuku was labeled as quirkless, they had tried to find a reasonable explanation for why this anomaly had happened, but in the end, they could only send a dejected kid with no quirk back home.
Sighing, she sat down and began the exam.
"It's been a while Midoriya, it's been stated here that you might've awakened your quirk," while saying this she smiled, trying to ease his nerves, "It's not entirely uncommon for this to happen, but yours is a special case do to how old you are, would you please describe exactly what happened before your awakening."
...
On Izuku's side, he was deep in thought, he had been reviewing the information that the system had given him the day before, and while checking the tutorials he quickly realized that the system had used the words 'traveling to other worlds', at this moment almost everything he knew was being reworked in one small sentence.
Hearing the doctor's words he snapped out of his stupor and looked up at her.
She was wearing a classic white lab coat combined with a short pencil skirt and a slightly unbuttoned white blouse that showed a small amount of cleavage.
Combined with her soft brown colored hair and bright blue eyes he seemed to be stuck in a trance.
Realizing that he was staring he quickly composed himself and replied.
"Well, it happened during the slime villain attack."
"Yes I heard about that, you played a pretty major role in that situation, even being able to save another student and allow the pros to capture the villain."
"Could you please tell me exactly what occurred?"
"During the fight with the villain, it felt as if something just clicked, it helped me move around and slowly copy the way he moved." thinking for a moment he continued "It felt like minutes but the more I copied him the easier it was for me to fight him."
This story wasn't true, Izuku had made it up on the spot to hide the system, he knew if word ever got out about him getting an unknown, power-giving, world-traveling power, he would most certainly be like catnip to villains.
Thinking for a minute she replied by telling him that the closest thing to a reason for his quirk activating could be a quirk overdrive, a quirk overdrive would usually happen when a person in a dangerous situation had their quirk go into something like a high gear, boosting itself so the user could get out the situation, for someone like him who had no quirk, it would be akin to activating the quirk instead of enhancing it.
"Now that we've ruled out probable cause, we'll have to see what your quirk type is, after that we'll see what exactly your quirk is, please stay still while I use my quirk."
'Hmm, that's weird,' she thought 'His quirk seems to be significantly different from it used to have been.'
Looking down at the report she brought with her, Izuku was only classified under the emitter category, but she had seen now completely disproved that, he seemed to be under both the mutant and emitter, with the mutant part having a slightly bigger share than that of the emitters, on the other hand, it was like there wasn't even an aura to begin with, almost as if this he didn't have a quirk either.
'Well it's not unusual, with his age, and a quirk only now introducing itself into his body, it'll take some time for him to get used to it.
"Well, everything checks out, now all we'll have to do is take some blood and let the machine do its magic, now if you'd give me your arm."
He gave her his arm and she quickly took a small vial of his blood, after that she said that the results would be done within 10 minutes and that he could return to the waiting room.
Now once again sat in the waiting room, Izuku was answering his mom's questions, she didn't head in with him on account of wanting to give him some privacy.
Midway through the questions, a nurse came out with a sheet of paper saying that it contained his medical results and information he would need to fill out to officially be classified as a quirked citizen.
Quickly scanning over the papers he was given, he was shocked to find that the info under [Quirk Description] was almost the same as the one that the system had given him, there were a couple of extra lines noting he probably wouldn't be able to perfectly copy someone without extensive practice.
Inko had also scanned the paper causing a worried expression to appear on her face, but she quickly covered it up with a smile.
Inko quickly started to suffocate him in a hug, Izuku had quickly gotten embarrassed to the point a small blush appeared on his face, and he quickly walked his mom to the car and headed home.

So, I'm alive and better than ever (lies). So the reason I kinda just poofed was because of.... reasons.
Well, to be less vague I got a new job, working on my ass mental health (still pretty ass), and more importantly binging most media I was planning on writing about.
Kinda fucked that last one over so I going to have to rewatch/reread.
Also, I'd like to hear some suggestions from you about what kind of verse you want Izuku to visit.
(I'm basically saying I have no ideas yet and need help.)
So if you want a verse just comment and if I like it I might do it.
