[ THE SMILES FAMILY. ]

The sound of wind blowing and the ocean waves clashing onto the land, you looked up to the little house up the hill. There stood four figures, three that's seemingly shorter, and one that's seemingly taller. Waiting outside for an expected guest to enter.

Your heartbeat was awfully loud, you were nervous. Since last time of unfortunate events that happened in shadelight, you figured that maybe keeping your guard down at all times wasn't for the best.

But, what's the worst that can happen?

Matthew, Seth and Clair seem to have spotted you. Though, clair was the only one whose enthusiasm showed. She waved excitedly towards your direction, Robert only stared at your small frame.

You sighed softly, you slowly made your way up to the hill. And there stands the siblings and the father. Clair's eyes sparkled, though the atmosphere felt a little awkward.

" Hello! And welcome! "

Clair held your hand, as the rest followed you inside.

The home gives off a very comfortable feeling, it felt just like home.

As times went by, the boys seemingly had joined Clair, chattering away and answering your questions, It felt lively. Though, Robert only seemed to stare at you. It felt like his stare was burning at the back of your head. And the discomfort was noticeable by now.

You tried to make up with excuses to try to bail out of the family's home. But they never budged, thus. You made even more excuses, but they never seemed to want you to go! You turned your heel to head for the door.

" Wait! Please don't leave yet, we still haven't eaten dinner yet! "

Clair pleaded, it broke your heart on how desperate the girl was to beg you to stay. But you knew something was off, something is going to happen, something is going to go wrong.

The moment you sprinted towards the door, a sudden impact made you fall onto the floor, you groaned in pain but still tried to crawl towards the door, unfortunately you blacked out.
