[ THE SMILES FAMILY . ]

Waking up in a bedroom that isn't yours is... not really pleasant. Especially after last night's event. Though, it was blurry.

Your soft breathing was the only noise that could be heard within the room.

The moment you woke up, you groaned in pain.

Your head ached in extreme pain, quickened footsteps could be heard, and it only got louder.

The bedroom door opened with force, Robert and his two sons were standing right outside the door.

And you had only just noticed that one of your wrists was tied to the leg of the bed tightly. No wonder why your wrist was burning.

" Ah, you're awake. That's good! "

Robert sighed in what sounded like relief, you only stared at them.

Robert then untied the cloth on the bed leg and bridal-carried you downstairs.

Clair was just done helping with cooking breakfast,

Pancakes and syrup.

After Robert put you in your seat you only stared at the pancakes, still processing what is happening.

The smiles family looked at you with frowns on their faces, Robert sat next to you and placed a small piece of pancake next to your mouth.

" Eat, please. "

He said, his tone almost demanding. You opened your mouth and slowly chewed on the piece of pancake.

You're terrified. Are they trying to cover up what happened last night?

But a part of your brain keeps telling you to stay, that they're doing this for your own good. But your gut is screaming at you to leave, run away.

But you wanted to stay, so you chose to stay.

The family chattered away while you stared at your empty plate.

Robert held your hand up to his lips and kissed your knuckles, you blushed slightly.

" We're glad you're back to us, Nancy. "

Overwhelming guilt begins to build up in your body, Nancy? Isn't that robert's dead wife? Am I... Nancy's replacement?..No.. no.

Robert noticed you turned a bit pale, he then excused himself and led you to bed.

You sat on the bed and looked at Robert, he smiled at you.

" I know what you're thinking. But we both know the truth, don't we? "

The man said, you looked back down .

After time passed by, you found yourself laying down on robert's shared bed.

Hearing him shut the kids' bedroom door close, his footsteps trailing towards your shared bedroom.

Robert came in and shut the door, changed his clothes and lied down next to you. Falling into deep slumber.

His words replayed in your head, you know he's telling the truth, so I guess that's no turning back.

You can only play the role as his wife.

You shut your eyes and slept. Waiting for a miracle to perhaps snap you back to reality.
