"That hurts me Henry" Regina said, placing her hand under his chin as they were standing there in his room. "I'm your mother"
The words she had used many times by now since that annoying blonde had entered their lives weeks ago. Regina knew Emma was the saviour and knew that if she broke the curse she would never win Henry over.
"No you're not" the words came out as a knife stabbed into Regina's chest. Henry turned around and ran off, her hand gliding off of his chin in a swift motion. She sighed and she couldn't help but think about the last 10 years. All the memories the two of them had made together, all the diapers she had changed, the tantrums she had soothed. And now he doesn't even see her as his mother. His mother was the only title she had ever had except from the evil queen. Now she was left with that phrase only that people had used against her for decades.
"Regina give him time" you said as you walked into Henry's room. You had overhead it all, and you couldn't help but feel so sorry for your girlfriend. You knew how much Henry meant to her and it felt like a knife stab in your chest as well every time he used that sentence towards Regina.
You walked closer over to her, before taking the hand that once was placed under his chin, caressing it with your thumb.
"Y/n I don't know what to do anymore" she said, looking up at you with big brown eyes that were on the edge of watering. "He doesn't even see me as his mother just because of that damn blonde" she cursed under her breath, her rage getting noticeable as redness appeared on her cheeks.
"I know Regina but-"
"But what y/n?!" Regina cut in frustrated as she sighed, regretting to snap at you like that. You were her only soft spot except for Henry of course while all other people were practically just objects standing in her way.
"What if she breaks the curse?" She whispered, careful so Henry wouldn't hear her. Then she would be completely screwed.
"She won't, she doesn't even believe anything Henry tells her, she's clueless" you reassured her before sighing softly, taking both of her hands in yours now. You lifted them up to your lips where you gave her knuckles a kiss before saying: "I've been with you since that one day in the enchanted forest where you got me, thinking I knew where Snow White hid. I helped you cast the dark curse by giving up my own heart cause I knew I was the thing you had grown to love most. And you definitely proved that when you tore your own heart in half so we could share it. We've faced impossibilities together and I won't let this curse get broken. I sacrificed too much to let that happen" you explained, and Regina nodded, a smile forming on her lips when she realized how much you two really had been through together.
"Thank you my love" she said before leaning in to give you a soft kiss on the lips.
"I love you" Regina said. Love is weakness everyone had told her, but in this case she had found it to be strength.
"And I love you" you answered.
