The curse had been broken for about 3 weeks now. Gold brought back the magic to Storybrooke, and Regina had finally learned how to use it again. She had been practicing on lifting rocks, lightning candles and teleportation and had finally succeeded. Now there was only one thing left for her to do. Make the saviour pay for what she did. For breaking the curse.
The saviour on the other hand had with her newly reunited parents, set up a plan to figure out Regina's weakness. If they first found out what weakened the queen, they could have the power of the town and turn it into goodness instead of evilness. Therefore they had, hesitantly, sought help from Mr. Gold, also known as the dark one now that they had gotten their memories back.
Gold had helped Emma learn how to use her magical powers. Since being born as the product of true love, Emma also had the gift of magic. And now that she had learned how to use it, she was ready to bring the queen down. They had figured that you and Regina might have had something going on. Today was the day to find out and to hopefully find out the queens weakness.
"David, you'll be there as support right?" Emma asked her father before he pulled out his sword. "Of course, I couldn't let anyone hurt my daughter" he said, and Emma smiled slightly while pulling a grimace, still not used to the fact of having parents.
"Good, then let's go" she said before all three made their way towards Main Street where they knew Regina would be, since she always picked Henry up from his therapy sessions at 5.
Of course they weren't there to hurt her. Emma had promised Henry not to hurt his mother which Emma of course respected. But finding her weakness couldn't hurt anyone.
When they all three reached their destination they saw the sophisticated and classy Regina walking down the street, her coat tight around her and her black leather back on her shoulder. Emma nodded to her parents before calling out Regina's name.
"Regina!" She yelled and she quickly got the other woman's attention, a frown appearing on her face.
"Miss Swan. What are you doing here on such a lovely day as today?" The brown haired woman asked once she got closer, her red lips giving the saviour an obvious fake smile.
"I wanted to show you something" she said before making a move with her arms, Regina getting thrown through the air before landing on the sidewalk, her hand rubbing her head a little once she got up in a sitting position. She looked around her and then up at Emma who was now standing a few meters away from her. She frowned but soon it hit her.
"You can use magic" she said, and Emma gave her a victorious smirk before Regina got up on her feet again. "I see"
"Regina you may think you own this town, but goodness is about to take over. You won't win this time" Emma said in a provocative tone.
Regina just scoffed, walking closer to Emma and just as she was about to do anything to her, Emma lifted her hand and all Regina's movements stiffened. Regina frowned once again, this time more and then she realized.
"Gold" she spat out. "You really turned to that imp to teach you magic? He only has dark magic you know. If I were you I would be careful" Regina said, but Emma just chuckled. "He didn't do anything but tell me what to do, I did all the work. With good magic" she said, before looking at her sternly.
"So tell me Regina. What is your weakness?" Emma asked, studying Regina's face before Regina scoffed. "I'm sorry to disappoint you but... I don't have any" she smirked, feeling the victory near.
That was until what happened next.
Emma saw you walking on the sidewalk across from their little scene and immediately chose to take the opportunity.
"Hey y/n!" She yelled, and she let Regina free from her grip, Regina turning her head back to see if you really were there.
You looked behind you before noticing Emma... and Regina?
You then narrowed your eyes to get a better look on the two, noticing the tension even though you were a good distance away from them.
"Come!!!" Emma yelled and Regina, in all her frustration, prayed to god you wouldn't listen to Emma, but unfortunately for her you did.
"Emma what's up?" You asked as you got closer. Emma's sweet smile quickly turned into a threatening one before she lifted you from the ground in magic, strangling you.
"Nooo!!!" Regina immediately yelled, throwing her arms out to push Emma away with all the dark magic she had in her, which surprisingly was stronger than Emma's good one, before you fell to the ground panting. Regina ran straight towards you immediately while David and Mary Mageret ran towards their daughter who was lying on the ground.
You held your hands on your throat, still feeling the tightness from Emma's grip on it, before you felt Regina kneeling down next to you.
"Are you okay?" She asked in a concerned voice as her eyes travelled all over your body and head, looking for any injuries she could heal with her magic. You nodded your head looking up at her.
"I'm fine. I'm sorry" you then said, and Regina immediately shook her head.
"No stop. Don't be sorry sweetheart" she said sternly, hating when you blamed yourself.
"You sure you're okay?" She asked you and you nodded once again. "I'm fine Regina. Seriously" you said locking your eyes with her making it more believable for her. When Regina looked up behind her Emma and her two parents were standing there looking at the two of you. Regina's head turned bright red, the fact that they saw this soft side of her making her angry. She didn't show that in front of anyone except for you and Henry.
"What miss swan?" Regina asked rolling her eyes as her voice immediately changed into the sound of annoyance.
Emma on the other hand smirked. Both because they found out about Regina's weakness, but also because of the sweet side she had never experienced. Maybe Regina wasn't that bad after all.
"Nothing" Emma eventually said, before walking off with her parents, leaving you two alone.
"Regina I'm sorry that I made them see this side of you-"
"-Y/n." she sternly warned you, not wanting you to think that any of this was your fault.
You smiled at her slightly as silence filled between you.
"Come, let's get you home, I'll cook for you and when Henry gets in bed we can watch a movie in my bedroom mh?" She asked, and you smiled before getting up on your feet, you and Regina picking up Henry before walking home together.
