Playing 'The Hills' on repeat, I text him if he wanted to hang out with me at SP. After no amount of convincing and a very dramatic reluctant answer, he agreed to meet me around 6 pm.
Putting away the loose strands, I adjust my glasses, waiting for him near Temple Run with an umbrella in my hand. A small flutter passes through my stomach as I see him in that blue shirt with grey shorts. The sun had almost set, and it was time for one of our evening walks again.
"Do you wanna walk towards the MIT Gate 1?" I ask, and he nods.
As we walk back towards SP again, a slight drizzle changes the mood as we playfully start flirting.
"You told me you will kiss me when it rains," he says, a small smile on his lips.
"I can."
"Prove it."
As I stand close to him, the leafed branches forming a high canopy above us, I feel my heart starting to beat faster. I inch closer to him, only to shrivel away and laugh out of nervousness. Each attempt made me laugh harder and harder and when I felt that this was going to be another loss, a sudden jolt pushed me, and I find my lips on his cheek.
"You are gonna go without kissing me back?" I ask as he starts leaving the place. Taking a step towards me, he leans in front only to back away and laugh it off. Sighing in frustration, I start walking the other way. A swift gesture of his hand pulls me towards him and as I stand there pressed against his chest, he leans down to plant a kiss on my cheek.
"What was that for?" he asked in confusion once we were done and were walking the other way.
"I kissed you as more than a friend," I confirmed, a smirk playing on my lips.
