Neymar Jr POV

"Leo, why are we running again?" I begged, receiving no answer - just heavy panting and a steel grip on my wrist. "You know, I can run, you don't have to drag me," Huffing, I struggled out of Leo's strong grip.

Only to realise that without his hand on my arm, my arm felt a little, well, cold. Okay, okay, okay. What was going on? Chill, chill, chill, Neymar. Dude, he's just a friend. NOT EVEN FRIENDS. We met TODAY. TO-DAY.

Continuing to run alongside him, I caught my breath. "Why are we running from the girl? What did she do?" I asked, confused.

"SHE saw ME with YOU and SHE is going to kill ME if SHE sees YOU again." He hissed, picking up the pace. I just stared back, dumbfounded. "Okay, look. That's Antonela, my girlfriend. She gets jealous quite easily, and let's just say that the behaviour we were displaying back there was not very, um, platonic." He gulped nervously, before stopping and resting. "Whew, she's gone. Finally."

"So... you feel like she thinks we are, you know, that?" I asked, making a two-fingers-together sign, still bewildered as fuck.

"Yeah. Precisely." Leo smiled sarcastically, leaning his head on my shoulder.

Oh, woah, woah woah. Oh my God, this feels weird. Weird but good. Why does it feel good? ARGH, my life is a mess.

I looked down at Leo, peacefully humming a tune, his head still on my shoulder. I didn't know what to do (I can totally relate. As can everyone)! Oh my God, oh my God. Leo, get your head off my shoulder because you look way too cute doing this and I can't control myself, I thought before noticing Leo stir.

"I look cute doing this?" He gazed up at me, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. Oh fucking hell, I just said that out loud.

"I said that out loud, didn't I?" I groaned, burying my face in my hands. "Ah, fuck."

Leo just burst out laughing, going weak in the knees and clutching me for support. "Oh, fuck you, Leo." I rolled my eyes.

"You know you want to," he grinned with a wink, making me gasp and step back. You know, it affects me because it's true.

"Mm... nah," I decided, earning a playful slap from him across the head. "Ouch," I winced, rubbing my head with a pout.

"Stop overreacting. Let's go before she catches us," he smiled mischievously, grabbing my hand and running again.

Shit. The butterflies were back.

Why does it feel so tingly and odd when he touches me? It's strange, but in a... in a good way, I guess. Like jumping into a pool in the blazing heat of summer, or hot chocolate on a rainy day - it  has a feeling that you don't want it to end.

We finally stopped running, for the second time today. But instead of letting go of my hand, he just held tighter. I couldn't help but squeeze his hand back, admiring his faint, almost imperceptible blush that was gradually spreading across his cheeks.

"Why are you blushing, huh?" I teased him, running my finger across his nose. He swatted it away, the crimson shade tinting his face only darkening.

"Why are you looking, huh?" He retorted, facing me completely. He had his arms crossed in front of his chest - sassy Leo. I like it.

"Because you're so handsome." I whispered, smiling. Brushing my thumb across his cheek, I slowly leaned towards his ear, murmuring unintelligible words into his ear. Leo blushed scarlet.

"Let's go, it's getting late," he breathed shyly, unable to look at me in the eye. I refused to move, staying at the traffic light pole. I didn't want to go, I didn't want to leave him. But I couldn't tell him that... that would be so awkward, God.
