Neteyam woke up feeling drowsy. He sat up slowly. He turned to his side and realized Ivä wasn't there. He frowned, looking around the Mauri hoping to find her.

Shortly after, Ivä walked in with a plate in her hand.

"Ivä. Where'd you go?" Neteyam said frowning.

"I just went to get you food babe, are you alright?" Ivä asked putting the food down and walking over to the bed.

"Mhm." Neteyam said closing his eyes and laying back down.

Ivä sat down on the bed beside him. She noticed his drowsiness. Luckily, he wasn't woozy. Just tired. She checked his wounds and bruises, seeing that the herb worked well.

"How are you feeling?" She asked quietly, rubbing his arm.

"Fine. Just really sleepy." Neteyam said with his eyes still closed. He could fall asleep any minute.

It was just after lunch and he was probably going to sleep for the rest of the day, if they weren't doing anything.

"I brought you some food. Are you hungry?" Ivä asked softly, trying not to disturb him.

He opened his eyes and slowly turned on his side so he was facing her. Ivä was still rubbing his arm, patiently waiting for a response.

"A little bit." Neteyam said quietly.

"Ok. Here." Ivä said grabbing the plate and putting it down beside him.

"Thank you baby." Neteyam said sitting up slowly.

He pulled her face in and gently kissed her.
She kissed him back carefully, before parting.

"Ok, eat." Ivä said basically forcing him to eat.

Neteyam just laughed before eating the food she brought him. Ivä got up and started tidying up the Mauri. Neteyam just silently watched her while eating.

Ivä had also went to see her parents while getting Neteyam food. She hadn't really seen them in a while, so she wanted to check in with them. Tonowari and Ronal asked Ivä about her and Neteyam's relationship. They had a short conversation, since she didn't want Neteyam's food to get cold.

They invited Neteyam to dinner. That's funny. Neteyam is scared of out his shit go ever cross paths with Tonowari and Ronal.

Ivä said her goodbyes and walked back to her Mauri. She found Neteyam sitting up in bed, looking around helplessly. Poor baby.

After Neteyam got done eating, he laid back down. He was still tired. Ivä had gotten done cleaning and joined him. She cuddled into his side while her head rested on his chest.

"So? Feel any better?" Ivä said while tracing the stripes on his chest.

"Much better." Neteyam said rubbing her back.

"Oh and by the way, my mother and father have invited us to dinner." Ivä said. Neteyam tensed under her. She could feel it.

"Outstanding." Neteyam said a bit sarcastically.

Ivä giggled before kissing his chest softly and sitting up.

"Come on, you'll be fine. I'm sure they'll love you." Ivä tried to reassure Neteyam.

His hand was still rubbing her back as he smiled softly, shaking his head.

"I don't know..," Neteyam said starting to fake rub his eye.
"I'm a little tired." Neteyam said trying to get out of going.

"Haha, very funny. You're going." Ivä said flicking Neteyam's forehead.

"Ow!"

Neteyam had finally gained enough energy to be up and out. Ivä took him on a walk on the beach before going to dinner with her family.

The waves were crashing calmly on the shore as the sun was starting to set. Neteyam and Ivä were just joking around and talking.

A beautiful teal and orange shell caught Neteyam's eye. He bent down, still very sore, and picked it up to inspect it.

He turned to Ivä with a big smile.

"Here," Neteyam handed her the shell.

Ivä gasped while taking it from him. It was very beautiful. She was definitely adding it to her collection.

"For me?" Ivä asked with pure awe.

"I guess." Neteyam said rolling his eyes jokingly.

Ivä nudged his shoulder softly, causing them both to laugh.

The couple walked a little more before it was time for diner. They went to Neteyam's pod before, letting his family know that he would be eating dinner with Ivä's family.

Neytiri and Jake shared looks before laughing slightly. They knew he was slightly afraid of them.

"Don't make a fool out of yourself." Jake said chuckling.

Neteyam rolled his eyes before walking out, leaving Ivä laughing with his whole family.

Ivä and Neteyam were now standing in front on her families Mauri.

Neteyam took a deep breath before looking at Ivä. Ivä looked towards Neteyam and grabbed his hand and squeezed it.

"You'll be fine. I promise." Ivä said.

"Pinky promise?" Neteyam asked, holding out his pinky.

"What?" Ivä asked, furrowing her eyebrows.

"It means you swear you won't break your promise." Neteyam said still holding out his pinky.

"Oh- ok well I pinky promise" Ivä said interlacing her pinky with Neteyam's.

The couple walked in. Ready for what was about to happen.

Authors note: IM SO SO SORRY! I know I said I would post as much as I could and I have been busy! I was like " oh yeah spring break! I'll post more." Nope. I've just been busy. Now I feel like I lied to y'all. Im going to try to post tomorrow. Tysm for being patient with me.

And Im sorry for the short chapter. This one's a little boring. But I've been trying to think on what to write
