Ivä and Neteyam jumped. Ivä forgot all about them. She quickly covered her neck with her hand and awkwardly laughed.
"What? No.." Ivä said making it sound obvious.
Lo'ak rolled his eyes.
"Oh come on, what happened then? Did a crab pinch you?" He asked jokingly."Yep." Ivä said.
Neteyam just laughed. He was so lucky he didn't have any or Lo'ak would tease the shit out of him.
"Neteyam..." lo'ak said wiggling his eyebrows.
Neteyam rolled his eyes and laughed. Tsireya was teasing them with her laughs.
Neteyam stood up. He wasn't going to get teased by his younger bother.
"Tsireya where are your hickies?" Neteyam asked raising an eyebrow looking at her, then Lo'ak.
Tsireya with silent. Dead silent.
Ivä was dying laughing on the floor. Literally. She was rolling around, holding her stomach because she was laughing so hard.
"Uhm.." Tsireya awkwardly said.
"Uh huh." Neteyam said proudly.
"Whatever bro." Lo'ak said embarrassed.
They start to walk away. Ivä finally got up from laughing.
"I hope that crab finds you reya!" She yelled making herself laugh again.Neteyam joined her. They hadn't had a good laugh in a long time.
—
After they calmed down, they finally finished his spear."Would you like to go try it out?" Ivä asked.
"Yeah, let's go." Neteyam said standing up. He held his hand out for Ivä to take. Which she did. Then they walked hand in hand to the water.
"So you remember how to do it right? Or was your teacher not teaching?" Ivä asked.
Neteyam remembered when Amira was 'teaching' him, but wasn't actually teaching him.
"Uh.. yeah I think I got it." Neteyam said looking at her.
They soon arrived to the shallow water where all the fish were. Neteyam got into form and lifted the spear up to the right position. He took a deep breath, showing his abs.
He watched as the fish swam by, waiting for the right moment. Finally, he struck, hitting the fish.
"Good job!" Ivä smiled.
"Thank you." Neteyam said going to retrieve his spear.
Ivä watched him walk away, and notice someone's eyes on her. Omui. He was sitting in the sand watching them.
She smiled and waved.
He waved back.Neteyam shortly came back with his spear and the fish. He didn't notice Omui.
"Wanna head back in?" Neteyam asked.
"Sure." Ivä said.
By the time they got there, Omui was gone.
They gave the fish to a fisherman, and put his spear away.
They started walking and met Kiri and Rotxo.
"Hey guys!" Kiri said smiling.
"Hey!" Ivä said smiling back.
They talked for a little while until they separated again.
The couple walked around a little more until Jake called the Sully kids in for something.
Neteyam kissed Ivä.
"I'll be back." He said, then walked to his Mauri.Ivä was just standing waiting for Neteyam until Omui approached her.
"Hey Ivä." He said.
"Hey Omui!" She said.
"How have you been? We haven't talked in ages." He asked.
"Good! And I know! I haven't seen you in a long time." Ivä said smiling.
She never had a problem with Omui. In fact, they used to be friends until she never really saw him again.
He matured, that's for sure. He got taller. His voice got deeper. He has tattoos. He was pretty cool.
"We should be friends again! I don't know why we stopped." Omui said staring at Ivä.
"Of course!" Ivä smiled.
Poor Ivä didn't understand that he didn't just want to be friends with her. He wanted more. He wanted her.
Neteyam walked out of his Mauri stopping in his tracks when he saw Ivä talking to Omui. Omui looked up, said goodbye, then left.
After Ivä waved Omui goodbye, she walked over to Neteyam.
"Who was that." He said quickly. He didn't want to sound jealous. But when you come back to her talking to another boy what do you expect for him to feel?
"Oh that was Omui. He's my friend." Iva said.
"Friend." Neteyam whispered looking past Ivä seeing Omui walk away.
"Mhm." She said.
"Ok." Neteyam said grinning.
Neteyam didn't want to sound possessive, but he was upset when he walked out to she her talking to some other guy but him. Why was she laughing so hard? Why was he staring at her like that. Where did he even come from. All of those thoughts ran through Neteyam head. He needed to quit. He sounded like a child.
He decided to brush it off. They're just friends. Friends. He thought. Besides, he hasn't even gotten a chance to get to know Omui. He probably wasn't that bad.
He hoped.
